Victoria Poelcher, a senior at South Side High School, has been selected the December Student of the Month by the South Side Education Association. Victoria is the daughter of Tracy Hopkins of Georgetown, PA and George Poelcher of Hookstown, PA.
Throughout high school Victoria has been involved in marching band, Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science club, Quiz bowl, Academic games, National Honor Society and the Euro Challenge.
Victoria has been named to the Distinguished Honor Roll throughout high school and the homecoming queen. She won the outstanding chemistry award from Slippery Rock University. She placed first and second in the PA Junior Academy of Science Competition at Slippery Rock University and Penn State University.
After graduation, Victoria plans to attend college and major in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
