The Wellsville Lions Club has chosen Connor Ramsey as a Lions Club Student of the Month. Connor is the son of Sean and Melissa Ramsey of Wellsville.
Among Connors academic achievements are the following: Member of the National Honor Society, A Honor Roll, and 3.75 Honors Ceremony. He received awards of Excellence in Algebra 1, Algebra II, Geometry, English II, English III, Physical Science, American History, Government. Connor also received the Leadership Bausch and Lomb George Eastham Young Leaders Award.
Connor has been involved in many extra-curricular activities. He was a four-year letter winner in football and basketball, and two-year letter winner in baseball and earned one varsity letter in wrestling. Connor was named to the 2nd Team EOAC in football, and 2nd Team EOAC in baseball as an outfielder. He also received an award for EOAC Academic All-Star in football, baseball, and basketball. He is a 1-year member of the WHS Choir and a 3-year member of Ebony and Ivory ensemble. He is involved in Leo Club where he is Vice President (2 years), Spirit Club (4 years) Simple Acts of Kindness (4 years), Y-Teens (3 years), Varsity W Club (3 years), Project PAWS, Science Club (3 years) where he was President Jr & Sr. year. Connor was also elected President of the Senior Class at WHS and was chosen to represent WHS at Buckeye Boy State.
Connor currently attends the East Liverpool Campus of KSU in the College Credit Plus program and previously was a member of the Kent State Rural Scholars Program where he was part of the NEORMA Program with the Cleveland Clinic. Connor is also a member of the Wellsville Robotics Team which qualified to participate in the state competition.
Connor's community involvement includes Christmas Tree decorating for Science Club, Cruiser Car Wash, Trunk-or-Treat, Tag Days for Football, Baseball and Basketball, Y-Teen Blood Drives and NHS Mentoring Team.
Connor plans to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. His college plans are not finalized at this time.
