Educators Rising competition

On Feb. 27, 2020, three East Liverpool High School students in Ms. Hall’s Career Pathways to Teaching Professions program competed in the state of Ohio Educators Rising competition held at Capital University. Junior Brody Barnhart competed in Exploring Education Administrative Careers where he shadowed and did a presentation about associate principal Mr. Willis. Senior Tangie Copestick competed in Job Interview where she submitted a resume, cover letter, and was interviewed by a panel of judges. Senior Kylie Whittington competed in Exploring Support Services Careers where she shadowed and did a presentation about school counselor Mrs. Adkins. Barnhart placed fifth in the state, securing a trip to compete in nationals in June in Washington, D.C. Copestick placed ninth in the state. (Submitted photo)
