EAST LIVERPOOL — Jacqueline Francis, daughter of Mark and Christina Francis of East Liverpool, has been chosen by the Calcutta Rotary Club for Beaver Local Student of the Month for April. She has turned in a total of 160 hours of Community Service.
Her Community Service activities include concession stand duties, lunch-ins, camps, and fundraisers.
“Community Service is my way of helping those in need. It allows me to do good in peoples’ lives that need it most. I have always enjoyed helping, and community service allows me to interact with several different groups of people. Community Service allows me to be grateful for what I have, and blessed to help anyone in need.”
Her school activities include soccer, SADD Club, Board member, Science Club, Outdoor Adventure Club, and Honor Roll.
EAST LIVERPOOL — Emily Monte, daughter of Craig and Melissa Monte of East Liverpool, was chosen by the Calcutta Rotary Club as the Beaver Local Student of the Month for March. She has turned in a total of 123 community service hours.
Her community service activities include: assisted to run Beaver Local Middle School track meets and basketball game; coached Lady Beavers Youth Soccer Clinic; worked the Kids Safety and Wellness Day for River Valley Hospital; assisted to set up elementary classrooms; helped work the Lisbon Presbyterian Church dinner banquet.
“Community Service is important to me because Aesop once quoted, “No act of kindness is ever wasted.” I live by his philosophy to make the community a better place. Community Service also helps me to become more engaged as I acquire life skills.”
Her school activities include Vice President of National Honors Society, SADD Club Officer, Treasurer of Beaver Local Choir, Vice President of English Honors. Outdoor Adventure Club, Beaver Local Lady Beavers Soccer and Basketball, and Beaver Local Track, RYLA nominee.
EAST LIVERPOOL — The Calcutta Rotary Club has chosen Beaver Local student, Angelina Ditri as the February Student of the Month. She has turned in a total of 286.5 community service hours.
Her community service activities include: St. Clair Township Memorial Day festival, volunteer to work blood drives (red cross) tutor Kindergarteners, two years of graduation ceremony, car wash (NHS), basketball stats middle school, basketball film high school, basketball stats, high school, ring bell (Salvation Army), Junior prom decorating, winter homecoming decorating, Red & White athletic association golf outing, girls golf camp for children, track recording, Buddy program (psychology), East Liverpool parade float (2017).
“Community Service is important to me because it has engaged me, has provided countless opportunities and has made me an active member of my home community which I am forever greatful. It has left a huge positive reflection on my inner image and at large in this school community. It has helped me learn people skills, life skills and knowledge that will always help me through life. I serve a well provided service to those who need most.”
Her school activities include member of NHS, Vice President of the class of 2019, English honors member, AP History member, and basketball boys bookkeeper.
