CHESTER, W.Va. — Oak Glen High School graduate and Chester, native Laura Ward, was recently elected vice president of the Pennsylvania School Librarians Association.

Ward is the high school librarian for Fox Chapel Area School District and is pursuing an Ed.D. in leadership and administration from Point Park University in Downtown Pittsburgh. She lives in Dormont, Pa., with her husband Nate and sons, Asher and Silas.

She is the daughter of Martha and Darl Roberts of Chester.

“Through my Ed.D. studies I have become a more reflective and thoughtful leader.
