EAST LIVERPOOL -- Alyssa Bowen honored by the Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh is a senior majoring in Chemistry (BS) at Wheeling Jesuit University. She received the College Chemistry Award during the Awards Dinner held on May 14 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. The award includes both a monetary prize and a framed certificate of accomplishment. In addition, Ms. Bowen will be recognized through a monetary award presented to the Wheeling Jesuit University Library in her honor along with an engraved nameplate that will be added to the plaque in the Chemistry Department listing prior SACP winners.
She is the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Bowen and a 2015 graduate of East Liverpool High School. Some of her achievements/accomplishments include: President of the Chemistry Club, member of Gamma Sigma Epsilon and Student Government Association.
