ELHS Buckeye Boys State

Sponsored by East Liverpool Post 374 of the Ohio American Legion, five East Liverpool juniors were selected to attend 2018 Buckeye Boys State from June 10-17 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The eight-day event provides hands-on experience in the operation of democratic forms of government, organization of political parties, and the relationship of one to the other in shaping Ohio government. Founded in 1936, Buckeye Boys State is the largest in the nation, annually hosting more than 1,200 young men from 900-plus high schools in the state. Pictured are Post Commander Ernest C.
