Landon Allison

HOOKSTOWN -- Landon Allison, a senior at South Side High School, has been selected the March Student of the Month by the South Side Education Association.

Allison, the son of Sharon and Michael Allison of Greene Township, Georgetown, has been involved in Academic Games, Quiz Bowl, Student Government, Teen Leadership Corps, TEAMS, and NHS. He has participated in the high school musicals, in the Bocce team and has been an integral part of the Beaver County Stockman's Club.

Allison has been named to the Distinguished Honor Roll throughout high school and has received several honorable mentions for his scholastic writings. He has also served as a student ambassador to Japan and the Czech Republic.

After graduation, he plans to pursue a four-year degree that will ultimately enable him to become an environmental lawyer.

Alexandria Harman

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Alexandria Harman has been named Scholar of the Month for May at East Liverpool High School.

The daughter of Tracy and Andrew Harman, she currently ranks first in her class.

She is a member of National Honor Society, tennis, band, Student Council, captain of Speech and Debate, and is co-founder of Students Helping Our Community. She also served as a delegate to Buckeye Girls' State and the Rotary Youth Leadership Summit.

In her spare time, Harman volunteers as a peer tutor, junior coach for Pegasus Track, concession worker for the Dolphins' Swim Team, and with the North Elementary Math Club, Vacation Bible School, Walk for Autism, and Trunk-or-Treat.

She will attend Kent State University to major in Nursing.

Owen O'Hara

EAST LIVERPOOL -- Owen O'Hara has been named Scholar of the Month for April at East Liverpool High School.

The son of Robert and Laura O'Hara, he ranks first in his class.

He is a member of Outdoor Adventure Club, the golf team, treasurer of National Honor Society, and represented the school as a delegate to Buckeye Boys' State.

In his spare time, he volunteers to run the scoreboard and referee for youth basketball and with Kinderhoops at the YMCA, and recently participated in a fundraiser for the United Way.

Enrolled in AP and college preparatory classes, he plans to study Engineering at Ohio State University.
