HOOKSTOWN – Kristen Spencer, a senior at South Side High School, has been selected the September Student of the Month by the South Side Education Association.
She is the daughter of Deborah and Jared Spencer of Hanover Township, Pa.
Throughout high school, Spencer has been on the cross country team (currently serving as co-captain). She serves as the president of the National Honor Society and participates in the World Affairs Club as well as participating in the Westinghouse Honors Institute lecture series. She also performs in school musicals.
She has been named to the distinguished honor roll each semester throughout her high school career and has been awarded the NHS Character award.
After graduation she plans to attend a four year university.
