Highway Patrol — Orbai B. Dumbuya, 31, Akron, was cited for assured clear distance and driving under suspension after his northwestbound vehicle on state Route 14 in Unity Township struck a northwestbound vehicle driven by Kayla Baker, 27, Moore Lane, East Palestine, who was stopped to make a left turn at 7:57 p.m. June 16. Baker suffered suspected minor injuries, but wasn’t transported or treated at the scene. SHERIFF'S OFFICE — Deputies were dispatched at 11:19 p.m. Saturday to a Leslie Road address in Madison Township for a domestic, learning one party fled the scene prior to deputies arriving. While conducting the investigation, another person, Ryan E. Williams, 44, Leslie Road, Lisbon, was charged with obstructing official business for allegedly injecting himself into the investigation while he was a bystander at the scene. MUNICIPAL LISBON — A Columbiana County jail inmate who allegedly escaped from East Liverpool City Hospital and a man who allegedly lied to deputies about the ride he gave him both had their cases bound over to the county grand jury. Joseph R. Adams, 48, Holliday Street, East Liverpool, waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday in county Municipal Court for escape, a second-degree felony, and vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. Highway Patrol — Two accidents related to the storms on June 14 were reported with no citations issued. Theresa A. Shasteen, 78, Votaw Boulevard, Lisbon, suffered suspected serious injuries and was transported by Winona EMS to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown after a utility pole fell and struck her southbound vehicle on Depot Road at 5:27 p.m. in Butler Township. Zachary W. Taylor, 35, Canfield, was northbound on Fairfield School Road, Elkrun Township at 5:44 p.m. when he struck a tree in the roadway. He wasn’t injured.
