Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a man who was found hiding in the attic insulation of a woman who had a protection order against him on Aug. 4 and tried contacting her again four days later was sentenced to 71 days in the county jail. Liverpool Township — An unnamed female driver was issued a citation and court date for failure to yield after nearly causing an accident at the intersection of Rubicon Street and Parkway Avenue. The officer asked what she was doing as she nearly caused an accident that could have been serious enough to seriously injure or kill the child she had in the back seat and the passenger she had in the front seat. Liverpool Township — An officer on his way to work on July 31 came across a single-vehicle crash on Lisbon Street. Another officer and the police chief arrived on the scene where the vehicle had wrecked into a telephone pole and split it at the base. The unnamed male told the officers that he lost control of his vehicle and spun 180 degrees. A witness who came out of his house after hearing the crash witnessed the driver not driving in a dangerous or careless manner. It appeared the driver lost control due to mechanical failure.
