Hayes, 59, Phoenix, Ariz., charged with fourth-degree felony assault on a peace officer and misdemeanors of obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. Sheriff’s Office — A woman on Union Street, Washingtonville reported at 10:46 p.m. Saturday that she was in the kitchen when the back door began to open and a man began to walk in. She slammed the door shut while pushing him out and locked the door. He stayed in his car, a black Toyota sedan, until 10 minutes prior to a deputy arriving. No forced entry was made.
