Liverpool Township — An officer on his way to work on July 31 came across a single-vehicle crash on Lisbon Street. Another officer and the police chief arrived on the scene where the vehicle had wrecked into a telephone pole and split it at the base. The unnamed male told the officers that he lost control of his vehicle and spun 180 degrees. A witness who came out of his house after hearing the crash witnessed the driver not driving in a dangerous or careless manner. It appeared the driver lost control due to mechanical failure. East Liverpool —A female came into the police department on July 28 wanting to make a theft report. She suspected her son of possibility taken a credit card from her vehicle. Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday, a man with a case pending in Common Pleas Court for breaking into the home of two public officials appeared for an alleged vandalism involving a swastika painted on a Trump sign last month. Nathan Johnson, 29, West Railroad Street, Columbiana, was fined $100 and sentenced to 30 days in jail for criminal mischief and also ordered to pay restitution of $487.99 for damage to the sign.
