Sheriff's Office
-- A deputy responded at 9:53 p.m. Aug. 13 to Old Irondale Road, Yellow Creek Township for an ATV complaint, with a resident reporting her neighbor was revving the engine to his 4-wheeler. The deputy checked the immediate and surrounding areas, but didn't find anyone or any vehicles.
-- Suspicious activity was reported at 11:03 p.m. Aug. 6 in the area of Walnut Street, Rogers where callers reported a person may be in their basement. Deputies checked the basement and immediate and surrounding areas, but didn't find anyone.
Highway Patrol
-- Jeffrey Lee Howell, 45, Buck Road, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after his westbound motorcycle overturned and traveled off of the right side of state Route 172 at 3:08 p.m. Aug. 16 in Hanover Township. He suffered suspected minor injuries, but was not transported.
East Liverpool
-- Officers responded with the fire department to a Michigan Avenue residence on Aug. 4 for a medical emergency involving a male resident who signed a medical refusal.
-- Officers investigation a theft complaint made by a female caller on Aug. 4 at an Ephrim Street residence found two males at the residence and asked if they were supposed to be there and they said yes. One of the males called the female who told the officer that the one male was boarding up her residence where someone had kicked in her door.
-- Officers conducted a welfare check on a male at a Smithfield Street residence on Aug. 4 after the caller told police she was concerned after her husband told her he would see her on the other side. Officers spoke with the male who said he was fine and had no intents of self-harm.
-- Elizabeth Coulter, 45, was arrested for criminal trespass and taken to the Columbiana County Jail on Aug. 4 after officers responded to a complaint of loud music coming from the property which she had recently been trespassed from.
-- Officers responding to a Mapletree residence for a male outside the residence screaming for help, found the male to experiencing a mental episode and contacted the fire department for treatment. The male while in route to the hospital tried to exit the ambulance and had to be resecured by police and EMTs. An officer rode with the fire department to the hospital.
-- An officer on Aug. 4 spoke with a female at a Wilber Avenue residence who said she wanted to file a complaint about a false reporting circulating around after a juvenile accused her of slapping him, which she denies doing.
