-- A man on Miller Road, Elkrun Township reported a case of trespassing at 5:47 p.m. Wednesday, saying that his daughter was using a vehicle belonging to a Lisbon man that was parked in the driveway and the owner came to the residence and got it.
-- A man on state Route 172, West Township reported at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday that his son sent him multiple text messages that he will call the sheriff and make false accusations if he does not buy him a vehicle. He also called his place of employment and made the same statements to staff. The man said he just got off work and he's going to be staying in Carroll County for the night.
Highway Patrol
-- Two drivers were cited after a four-vehicle accident at 5:04 p.m. Aug. 11 in Knox Township on U.S. Route 62. The four vehicles were all eastbound when a vehicle driven by Brenda L. Gaver, 68, West Ohio Avenue, Sebring stopped due to a motorcycle slowing to make a right turn into a business. A vehicle behind Gaver driven by Morgan R. Goldner, 30, Warren, also slowed but was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Julina K. Chidester, 23, Alliance, whose vehicle was then struck by a vehicle driven by Stacey A. McClain, 56, Eastlake Road, Lisbon. As a result, the Chidester vehicle was pushed further into the Goldner vehicle, causing the Goldner vehicle to strike the Gaver vehicle. Chidester was cited for assured clear distance. McClain was cited for assured clear distance and operating a vehicle impaired. She suffered a suspected minor injury, but wasn't transported. Golder suffered a possible injury but wasn't transported.
St. Clair Township
-- Officers were called to Sheetz by the gas station's security team on Aug. 3 for a vehicle in the drive thru with a female riding on the hood. When officers arrived, they were told the vehicle had just left and pulled into McDonalds. Officers found the vehicle at McDonalds and talked to the occupants asking if they were just at Sheetz to which they said yes, they were at the drive thru copying a Tic Toc challenge by ordering their food and paying for it from the hood of the vehicle. Officers told them they could not do that, and they are not to do that again.
-- Officers spoke with a manager at Boost Mobile who accused employees of taking money out of the cash register but was unable to provide proof of it on Aug. 3.
-- A female called the police station on Aug. 3 to report her ex, who was released from jail on July 28, was violating a protection she has on him by texting a household member staying with her son in the residence and she noted his bond agreement states he cannot contact any household member in the residence and that she is not staying at the residence due to being in fear of him. The officer emailed a statement form for her to fill out send back with the bond agreement and text message.
-- A female called to file a report after being alerted on Aug. 3 by Capital One of a possible fraudulent charge on her credit card. She said Capital One told her two charges were made on her account on Aug. 2 to an online clothing store. She noted Capital One is investigating, and she wants a report on file.
-- An officer requested a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) be issued to the surrounding area and states on Aug. 4 for a homicidal and suicidal male in relation to a case being conducted by another officer.
-- An officer investigating an aggressive dog compliant at a Gipner Avenue residence on Aug. 4 made contact with the owner of the property where the dog was staying and was told by the property owner that the dog belonged to a Reve Mccullough, who was staying at the residence. Mccullough was found to have an active warrant and placed in handcuffs. Mccullough told officers she needed medical attention for an infected finger. Mccullough was released to North Star for treatment after the officer called to see if the sheriff's office had someone available to sit with her at the hospital, which they did not.
-- An officer spoke with a female by phone on Aug. 5 who was calling to report finding a suspicious black garbage bag packaged on the steps of the Tri State Christian Church while attending a Bible study. She said the package had a note that read "God forgive Me." The female said a pair of scissors and a pop was beside the package which she opened and inside was dirt and broken glass.
-- An officer stopped a vehicle with two people in it who were fleeing Walmart loss prevention on Aug. 5 after stealing and concealing 32 items totaling $50.96 in a backpack. Loss prevention pointed out the vehicle to the officer who stopped the vehicle. The male identified as Paul Beaver, 36, after being read his Miranda Rights admitted to stealing the items while the female identified as Marlane Polojac, 24, knew he was doing it. Both were taken into custody, transported to the police station for processing and released with a court summons. Beaver was charged with petty theft and Polojac with charge with complicity to conspire with another.
-- Brian Stowers was taken into custody on Aug. 5 and charged with aggravating menacing after family members reported him to be on the porch of his Annesley Road residence with a gun threatening to harm a family member.
-- Officers spoke with a female at her Pugh Road residence told them on Aug. 6 that she was having trouble with the person she lived in a duplex next to in Lisbon before moving to Calcutta. The female said the male broke into her apartment three days prior and runs by her apartment. The officer spoke to the female's son by phone and he told them she randomly goes through these episodes where she believes this male is trying to get her. North Star arrived at the residence and spoke to the female who refused to go to the hospital and did not appear to be a danger to herself or others.
-- Officers spoke with a male on Aug. 7 who said he was cutting his grass when he found several nails in his McCoy Avenue yard, and he didn't know who threw them there.
