-- A man on state Route 7, Madison Township, called at 5:52 p.m. Saturday to report he was towing a vehicle off of his property that was parked there. The vehicle belonged to a Wayne Bridge Road, Center Township resident.
-- A deputy stood by for traffic control at 4:02 p.m. Saturday in the 1700 block of northbound lane of Cunningham Road, Salem Township, for a vehicle that ran out of fuel. The driver was able to obtain some fuel and was on their way.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 10:05 p.m. Friday to Bayview Drive, Knox Township for multiple gunshots heard in the area. The deputy checked the area but didn't find anyone.
-- A man on Grant Street, Center Township, reported at 7:12 p.m. Friday that someone entered his residence when he was not there. Unknown what was missing, but his pet pig got out of the residence and the Columbiana County Humane Society has the pig. An agent from the county humane society also called at 6:27 p.m. Friday requesting assistance from a deputy at the residence on Grant Street due to the owner of the animals getting irate. The deputy stood by with no issues reported.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 4:41 p.m. Friday to the area of St. Jacob Logtown Road at U.S. Route 30, Center Township for a silver Jeep with a black roof rack and a male driver and female passenger. The female was screaming for help and it appeared the male was assaulting her. Deputies and Lisbon Police checked the area, with no one found.
-- A Knox Township man reported at 3:51 p.m. Friday that a vehicle was parked on the Norfolk Southern Railroad overpass on Hartley Road. A deputy spoke with the person, who was with Halcyon, a taxi service for the railroad and was waiting on crew members from a train.
-- A resident of Hill Street, Center Township reported ATVs were in the roadway making a lot of noise at 10:57 p.m. Thursday.
-- A man from Perry Township reported at 6:55 p.m. Thursday that he rents out a residence on Lisa Lane, Center Township, and after the tenants were ordered evicted out, he came to the residence and found lots of damage and multiple items missing from inside. A deputy had been dispatched to the residence at 5:31 p.m. for a civil matter between a landlord and tenant. The landlord said the woman was moving out and there were no issues.
Highway Patrol
-- Sajan Handa, 26, Hicksville, N.Y., was cited for a lanes of travel violation after his westbound vehicle on U.S. Route 30 drove left of center while negotiating a curve and struck an eastbound vehicle and its trailer driven by Kevin R. Hastings, 43, Medina, at 8:50 a.m. July 25 in Hanover Township. The Hastings vehicle then drove off the right side of the road striking a guardrail. Hastings and his passenger, Sarah N. Hastings, 43, Medina, both suffered suspected minor injuries. Handa was not injured.
-- Sherman L. Griggs, 81, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, was cited for improper towing after the vehicle he was towing with a Chevy Silverado broke free, traveled off of the right side of Elkton Road, struck a tree and overturned at 1:11 p.m. July 23 in Elkrun Township. There were no injuries reported by the driver or his passenger.
-- Madisen T. Palmer, 23, state Route 172, Minerva, was cited for left of center after her northbound vehicle on state Route 9 in Hanover Township traveled left of center and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Austin T. Comer, 25, Girard, at 2:24 p.m. July 19. Neither driver nor their passengers suffered any injuries.
-- East Liverpool Police Officer Flisha Kelsey, 38, suffered a suspected minor injury and was transported by East Liverpool EMS to East Liverpool City Hospital after her police cruiser was stopped westbound on East Sixth Street at Broadway at the traffic light when an eastbound vehicle driven by Donald L. Boyd, 51 Grant Street, East Liverpool, made a left turn from East Sixth Street onto Broadway and was struck by the police car as it drove through the intersection at 12:50 p.m. July 19 in East Liverpool. Boyd was cited for failure to yield.
-- Gregory B. Weingart, 30, Canfield, was cited for reasonable control after his westbound vehicle drove off of the right side of Hoopes Road, striking a ditch and utility pole at 1:23 a.m. July 19 in Butler Township. Weingart and his passenger were not injured.
-- Trey D. Reese, 27, Wood Street, Salineville, was cited for reasonable control after his vehicle traveled off of Walnut Ridge Road in Washington Township and struck a guy wire at 9:55 p.m. July 17. No injury was reported.
-- Kitty D. Morrow, 67, West Eighth Street, Salem, escaped injury after her vehicle caught fire while northbound on McCann Road at 7:07 p.m. July 17 in Hanover Township and became disabled in the road.
