— A deputy at 3:41 p.m. Sunday spoke to a resident on state Route 164, Center Township regarding the neighbor’s dogs coming onto her property and chasing her animals, which she said was an ongoing issue. The report said no contact has been made with the dog warden despite repeated attempts at contact. She said video was available with the animals constantly on the loose.

— Colt Heddy, 53, Niles, was taken into custody early Sunday for assault for an incident first reported at 9:48 p.m. June 22 on Leslie Road, Madison Township. At the time, Heddy allegedly claimed the victim came at him with a knife and made comments to dispatch that he was cut, but when he was examined, no injuries were observed. The victim had a cut across the bridge of her nose and said he assaulted her, but she was heavily intoxicated at the time and arrested on an unrelated criminal charge. Her name was not listed on the report. On Saturday, the deputy spoke to the victim for a statement on that night’s incident and indicated Heddy punched her. She also said he was the one with the knife and that he threw the knife in the woods and then punched her in the face.

— A Comcast employee called at 4:36 p.m. Thursday regarding theft of a line on Fife Coal Road, Yellow Creek Township. The employee just needed a report for their security division.

— A deputy was dispatched at 8:06 p.m. June 22 to state Route 39 to assist the Ohio Division of Natural Resources with a suicide that took place at the Highlandtown Dam, with the deputy securing the scene until other units arrived and handing over the investigation to ODNR. No other details were listed on the report.

— A deputy responded at 5:32 p.m. June 22 to Echo Dell Road, Middleton Township regarding an unruly juvenile and was met by the juvenile’s mother. The juvenile had calmed down and advised the deputy he would be civil. The juvenile’s mother was advised how to proceed.

— A deputy responded at 5:46 p.m. June 22 to state Route 7, Madison Township, for a report of theft and checked the area after being told the person fled, but did not find anyone. The report did not say what was stolen.

— A stolen license plate was reported at 8:22 p.m. June 21 on state Route 7, Elkrun Township. A deputy spoke to the complainant, who believed he may have just misplaced the plate and was going to look for it.

— A deputy responded at 6:18 p.m. June 21 to Apple Grove Apartments, Saltwell Road, to assist Lisbon Police in helping a woman having a mental health issue. Units were advised she wanted to go to the hospital and kept talking with her until EMS arrived. She went with EMS to the hospital of her choice.

— A deputy responded at 4:27 p.m. June 21 to state Route 154, Elkrun Township for a shooting complaint and made contact with the person shooting, who was told to stop due to an inadequate backstop. The person said they would and the deputy advised the callers the person was stopping for the day.

— A deputy returned a call at 3:41 p.m. June 21 to a Center Township resident regarding a theft. The resident said they knew the person and didn’t want to pursue charges, but wanted the property back. The deputy spoke with the person at their address and the person returned the property to the deputy, who then returned it to the owner.

— Fraud was reported at 10:22 p.m. June 20 by Elkrun Township residents from state Route 154. No other detail about the fraud was listed on the report.
