East Liverpool

– An officer spoke with a neighbor about making sure her dogs were leashed after an Idaho Avenue resident reported the two pitbulls loose in her yard on May 9.

– A female came to the station on May 9 to report she hasn’t seen her juvenile daughter in two years, and her father is denying her visitation. The female was advised to speak to the county prosecutor.

– Timothy Gibbs, 38, address not provided, was arrested at a St. Clair Avenue apartment on May 9 and charged with assault after a male reported being assaulted by him and Gibbs admitting to the assault.

– Alexis Jackson, 21, address not provided, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication after responding to a report of a possible fight at a Globe Street residence. Jackson became verbally combative when officers tried to talk to her. Jackson’s father allowed police into the residence and told police she came home intoxicated and in an argumentative state and that he heard her and her boyfriend arguing outside the residence and told the boyfriend to leave and Jackson to get in the house.

– A female reported on May 9 $600 stolen from her after she posted a swing set on Facebook Marketplace and her account had been accessed.

– Joseph Mason, age and address not provided, was cited for an open container after officers saw him discard the drink while responding on May 9 to a complaint of a large crowd in front of Nikki’s Place scaring customers away. Officers retrieved the can and noted it was half full and still cold to the touch.

– Officers assisted Liverpool Township officers with a verbal altercation on Lee Street on May 9.

– Officers investigated a report of a possible fight and a woman with a knife on Peach Alley on May 9. Officers were able to locate the female who told them she had a verbal argument with her boyfriend but refused to give his name. The boyfriend was later identified and told officers it was just a verbal argument.

– Officers were called to the Area of Ministries Assisted Living Center on May 9 for a male knocking on the door and trying to enter the facility. Officers spoke with the male who said he was trying to seek medical assistance due to shortness of breath. North Star arrived and transported the male to the hospital.

– A female told officers on May 9 that someone had dumped some shower pieces at her Pennsylvania Avenue garage, and she wanted to make a report so she didn’t get cited.

– An officer observing a male on a dirt bike on Dewey Avenue on May 9 conducted a traffic stop. The male told the officer he just recently got the bike fixed and was just taking it down the road to test it out and see if it ran fine. The officer advised the male to take it back to his house cautiously and gave him a verbal warning for having an unauthorized vehicle on the road.

– An officer investigated a report of a suspicious male looking into vehicles on Ridgeway Street on May 10.

– Officers assisted Liverpool Township police with a possible disturbance between two males on Dresden Avenue on May 10. City officers stood by at the scene while the township officers handled it.

– An officer investigating a report of domestic violence at a West 4th Street apartment on May 10 talked to the residents who said they have an autistic son who was refusing to take a shower. The officers talked to the son who told officers his dad was yelling at him to get in the shower.

– Officers checked an area of Globe Street on May 10 for kids who were reported to be riding four wheelers at a high rate of speed up and down the road.

– Officers investigated a possible domestic violence complaint at a Lincoln Avenue residence on May 10.

– James Cheeks, 49, address not provided, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on May 9 after officers made contact with him regarding an assault complaint filed against him by a female earlier that day. During a search of Cheeks for the arrest, officers found three burnt glass pipes in his backpack and also charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Officers spoke with Ohio Avenue residents on May 10 regarding a neighborhood dispute.

– An officer checked Dresden Avenue near the FRX dispensary for goats reported to be in the roadway on May 10.

Liverpool Township

– Caitlyn Stofen, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for speed of 79 mph in a 55-mph zone during a May 27 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Samuel Presutti, age and address not provided, was issued citations for no trailer lights and improper display for no plate on the trailer during a May 27 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Steven Conkle, age and address not provided, was issued a citation on May 27 for failure to yield to all traffic on 5th Avenue resulting in a two-car accident and a mandatory court date due to being involved in an accident with no insurance.

– Sean Nicholas Barrett, 32, address not provided, was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail where he was charged with fugitive from justice following a May 29 incident where officers met with a female requesting officer presence get her back from him.

– Samantha Talbott, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 78 mph in a 55-mph zone during a May 29 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Jaymin Jackson, age and address not provided, issued citations for speed of 88 mph in a 55-mph zone and expired license during a May 29 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Devin Maple, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 75 mph in a 55-mph zone during a May 29 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Zana Rexroad, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 37 mph in a 25- mph zone during a May 30 traffic stop on Boring Lane.

– Paul Dickinson, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and mandatory court date for driving with no license and marked lanes violation during a May 30 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Helmut Erwin Purvis, 66, no address listed, was issued a citation for failure to confine his dog. The officer told Purvis they have had multiple complaints of his pitbull running loose and if it continues, the dog would be taken to the dog pound and he would have more punishment than the citation that was issued.

– Robert Ford, 69, no address listed, was issued a citation and court date for failure to confine his dog after his pitbull escaped his Homestead Avenue residence and attacked a smaller one on Densmore Avenue on May 31. The unnamed owner of the dog attacked was issued a citation for no license for her dog.

– Anthony Riddle, 38, address not provided, was arrested for obstructing justice after presenting officers with a driver’s license with the name of Stephen Corbett on it during a May 31 traffic stop for speed of 75 mph in a 55 mph-zone on state Route 7. Riddle was also issued citations for speed, having a suspended license, and having an expired license. His vehicle was towed by First Class Towing.

– Keilan Clinkscale, age and address not provided, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for felony possession of cocaine during a June 1 traffic on state Route 7 for a speed of 75 mph in a 55-mph zone. Clinkscale, who has two open license suspensions, was issued a citation for driving under suspension and a citation for speed. His vehicle was towed by First Class Towing.

– Daniel Castillo, 40, address not provided, was arrested for assault and theft of a phone following a June 2 incident on Lang Street where he assaulted a resident after the resident told him there was no soliciting.

– Leonard David, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and mandatory court date for failing to yield to emergency vehicles after coming close to striking two police vehicles conducting a traffic stop on June 2 on state Route 7.

– Steven Saltzman, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 40 mph in a 25 mph-zone during a June 4 traffic stop on Carter Street.

– Gabriella Green, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed of 75 mph in a 55-mph zone during a June 6 traffic stop on state Route 7.

– Charles McLaughlin, age and address not provided, was issued citations for speed of 85 mph in a 55-mph zone and driving under suspension during a June 7 traffic stop on state Route 7.

St. Clair Township

– Officers searched an abandoned house on Bell School Road after receiving a report on May 28 that someone was in the house stealing copper. After not finding signs of anyone on the property, officers spoke to the caller who said she was on different medicines and sometimes sees things that aren’t there.

– Officers investigated complaints of suspicious activity at a Bell School Road residence after a female reported seeing two trucks drive up and down her driveway and hearing a chain saw all night on May 30.

– Officers investigated a Bell School Road residence for criminal damaging after the female resident reported on May 30 seeing five people and a young boy standing in her yard and she believed the boy damaged her vehicle. Officers found no damage. The female’s daughter arrived and told officers she has cameras all around the residence and did not see anyone on the property or near the car.

– Officers responded to a car fire on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road on June 1.

– Officers arrived at Martha Street residence for a report from Tri-County Cab that a female passenger had received a ride but didn’t pay. The female said someone else was paying for the ride since she didn’t have enough money. The driver said they would take what she could pay and the driver would cover the remainder of it.

– Officers spoke with a female on June 5 who told them her juvenile daughter was being harassed by other juveniles, and she has called and reported the same issue multiple times. Officers told her they are looking into it and to delete the juvenile from her daughter’s social media.

– Officers responding to a state Route 267 residence for an elderly female bleeding profusely from her ankle were told Lifeteam was en route and wanted police there.

– Officers investigated a reported drug overdose at a St. Clair Avenue residence on June 6. A female told the officers her boyfriend had told her he had taken a large amount of her anxiety pills. The male told the officers he lied to her about taking the pills and that the pills were in the bathroom. Officers located the pills. Northstar arrived to evaluate the male and he refused medical treatment.

Sheriff’s Office

— A man on Brown Street, Center Township, reported at 7:46 p.m. Wednesday that his ex-girlfriend from East Liverpool won’t stop contacting him by phone. A deputy spoke with her by phone and she was advised to have no contact with the man.

— A woman on state Route 518, Franklin Township, reported at 7:29 p.m. Wednesday that her ex-boyfriend from Austintown keeps driving by her residence very slowly.

— Deputies were dispatched at 12:18 a.m. Saturday to Hartley Road, Knox Township for a domestic violence report. Refusals were signed by all parties involved.

Highway Patrol

— No citation was listed on the report for a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of state Route 45 and Teegarden Road in Salem Township at 12:50 a.m. June 3. An eastbound pickup on Teegarden Road driven by Gabriel T. Hafner, 22, Minerva, failed to stop at the stop sign and struck a southbound car on state Route 45 driven by Donna A. Shiderly, 39, Elkton Road, Lisbon, in the intersection. The Shiderly vehicle continued south and struck the guardrail three times then came to final rest while the Hafner pickup continued east and struck a guardrail. Hafner and his passenger, Melina Shanahan, 19, Minerva, both suffered suspected serious injuries and were each flown by Stat MedEvac to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Shiderly suffered suspected serious injuries and her passenger, Mayson Cassell, 32, West Drury Lane, East Liverpool suffered suspected minor injuries, with both transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown by Leetonia EMS.
