Highway Patrol
— Vera L. Groves, 81, Chester, W.Va., was cited for failure to yield after her vehicle pulled from a private drive on state Route 7 in Fairfield Township at 7:03 p.m. May 12 and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Jolene L. Lacey, 38, West Main Street, New Waterford. No injuries were reported.
— Preston Cowdery, 25, Main Street, Wellsville, was cited for improper passing after his off-road vehicle started to make a left turn while being passed and was struck by a northbound vehicle driven by Justin J. Anderson, 30, North Elm Street, Columbiana, on state Route 7 in Middleton Township at 4:40 p.m. May 9. No injuries were reported.
— Trudy L. Trotter, 64, Trotter Lane, East Liverpool, was cited for reasonable control after her southwestbound vehicle on state Route 170 in St. Clair Township traveled off of the right side of the road and struck a guardrail at 10:15 a.m. May 8. No injuries were reported.
— Leann L. Sheriff, 39, Canton, was cited for improper backing after her eastbound vehicle on state Route 172 at state Route 9 backed into an eastbound vehicle driven by Joshua Milat, 37, Sebring at 7:10 a.m. May 8 in Hanover Township.
— No injuries were reported during a hit/skip accident at 9:10 a.m. May 6 when a southbound vehicle on state Route 45 lost debris from its load which struck a northbound vehicle driven by Jennifer Whitman, 51, Hunters Camp Road, Lisbon.
— A 2-year-old passenger in a vehicle suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported by North Star Critical Care to Akron Children’s Hospital after a two-vehicle accident at 12:42 p.m. May 5 at the intersection of Lindy Lane and Y & O Road. A vehicle driven by Daniel A. Duke, 47, Moore Street, East Liverpool, was turning left to enter Lindy Lane while northbound on Y & O Road and was struck by a vehicle driven by Dakota T. Mitchell, 30, Moore Street, East Liverpool, who was attempting to pass in the intersection. Mitchell was cited for driving on left side. The child was a passenger in the Mitchell vehicle.
— Alyse R. England, 26, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, was cited for reasonable control after her northbound vehicle traveled off of the left side of Leetonia Road and struck a ditch and embankment at 3:24 a.m. May 5 in Salem Township. No injuries were reported.
— Matthew J. Ewing, 58, Waddell Street, Leetonia, was cited for operating a vehicle impaired after pulling into a private drive on Ridge Street, Leetonia and striking the rear of a vehicle owned by Slade L. Brandle, Ridge Street, Leetonia at 7:43 p.m. May 4. No injury was reported.
Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy responded to a call at 8:43 p.m. Monday for a welfare check on Rose Drive, Lisbon. While en route, the deputy was able to reach the person by phone and was advised the person was fine and there was no need to respond.
— Suspicious activity was reported at JT’s Pit Stop, state Route 164, Wayne Township at 5:09 p.m. Monday. A deputy advised the person how to proceed.
— A deputy at 6:52 p.m. Monday returned a call to an East Liverpool resident regarding fraud, Desellem Road, Madison Township.
