LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set May 4 for Shawn L. Paulin Sr., 47, Van Buren Drive, Salem, charged with fourth-degree felony assault on a police officer and misdemeanors of theft, domestic violence, resisting arrest and obstructing official business. On April 23 in Perry Township, Paulin allegedly pushed a woman down onto a bed and she fell off the bed and onto the floor and then he fled. The woman said she was punched in the chest and having chest pains. Paulin was contacted and was refusing to come back to the scene, claiming he knew he had a warrant and did not want to be arrested. During his arrest following the domestic incident, he pulled his hand away multiple times, then grabbed a police officer’s thumb and refused to let go. After being carried to the cruiser, he refused to sit and tried to jump out of the back of the car, then kicked the officer in his right leg while refusing to sit in the cruiser. On July 28, 2025, he was accused of allegedly taking a woman’s Cash App card linked to her bank account from her mailbox and activating it, then sent multiple small transactions totaling $70 from her account to his mother.

A preliminary hearing was set May 4 for Amber Lee Price-Yatro, 55, Bloomfield Road, East Liverpool, charged with breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly breaking into a man’s storage unit in St. Clair Township by prying open the wall between her unit and his to remove items on April 22 at Bolt Storage.

A fourth-degree felony charge of grand theft auto and a misdemeanor charge of criminal damaging against Gage M. Gillespie, 18, Vine Street, East Liverpool, were dismissed without prejudice, with a notation from Judge Danielle Menning that the complaint was not notarized and did not include the defendant’s social security number. Gillespie was accused of allegedly stealing a motorcycle on April 19 in East Liverpool, removing lights, cutting wires and defacing the vehicle emblems.

A pretrial was set June 30 for Justin Daniel Lucas Trevor, 38, Etruria Street, East Liverpool, charged with assault and criminal mischief for allegedly coming to another man’s house acting belligerent and then attacking him when he said he was calling the police on April 24 in East Liverpool. The victim said he was thrown up against a a vehicle and then onto the ground. Trevor also grabbed the support for a canopy and attempted to pull it out.

Jada C. Pack, 39, Erie Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 177 days suspended and credit for three days served, for violating a protection order. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim. Pack entered and stayed in a protected person’s place of employment while the protected person was there on Aug. 27, 2025 in St. Clair Township.

A pretrial was set May 6 for Lee Edward La Mar, 40, Youngstown, charged with assault and obstructing official business for allegedly assaulting a woman, grabbing her by the hair, yanking her by the neck and physically assaulting her by force on April 20 in New Waterford and then disobeying commands during his arrest.

A pretrial was set June 30 for Angel J. Myers, 26, Alliance, charged with violating a temporary protection order for allegedly approaching a protected person on Aug. 18, 2025 in Perry Township.

A pretrial was set May 4 for Frederick E. Krueger, 35, Wampum, Pa., charged with violation of a protection order for allegedly liking a social media post made by a protected person in January. He wasn’t permitted to initiate or have any contact with the victim.

A pretrial was set June 24 for Eric J. Watts, 44, Brooklyn, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for unprotected sexual activity with a woman in exchange for money through the Cash App and then traveling to East Palestine on April 22 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession, an affidavit said.

A pretrial was set June 30 for Darnell Cornelius Penn, 35, Clarksburg, W.Va., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for unprotected sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $100, then traveling to East Palestine on April 22 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession, an affidavit said.

A pretrial was set June 29 for Jacob J. Fullerton, 25, West California Avenue, Sebring, charged with operating a vehicle impaired second offense, OVI breath second offense and open container.

A court trial was set May 12 for Anthony Chaundel Brown, 32, Youngstown, charged with speeding.

A pretrial was set June 24 for Mathew Charles Bueno, 35, Metz Road, New Middletown, charged with street racing.

A pretrial was set June 3 for Eric C. Hoppel, 70, Hoppel Drive, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension and 12-point suspension.

Christopher M. Wheeler, 51, Allison Street, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for a plate light violation, with a charge of operating a vehicle impaired dismissed at the request of the prosecutor due to a lack of evidence.

Ashley House, 38, Grandview Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 for failure to reinstate amended from driving under suspension.

Joshua P. Odroneic, 43, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $200 for unauthorized plate and loud exhaust.

Sophia L. McNicol, 39, Oakwood Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for a stop sign-school bus violation.

Katie Scarlet Buchanan, 30, Forbes Road, Wellsville, was fined $20 for expired tag.

Grand Jury

LISBON — Collin Scott Gilmore, 25, Toronto, was served Thursday with a secret indictment issued by the Columbiana County Grand Jury for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing cocaine on Sept. 29, 2025.
