Sheriff’s Office

— A man on state Route 164, Fairfield Township, reported at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday that he put mail in his mailbox to be sent out, with the check made out to Capital One for $482.31, but someone else cashed the check with Bank of America and crossed out Capital One.

— Deputies were dispatched at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 13 to East Liverpool Road, Madison Township, for a welfare check on a person. The person was transported to East Liverpool City Hospital by West Point EMS.

St. Clair Township

— An officer ran a random registration check on a vehicle on state Route 170 on Dec. 4 and conducted a traffic stop when it came back that the registered owner did not have a valid license. The driver of the car was not the registered owner and had a valid license.

— An officer spoke with a female on the phone who wanted to get a protection against her husband on Dec. 4. The female said the husband had been drinking and put his hands on her. She also said she was not at home at the time and would come in the next morning to file charges.

— Officers spoke with a female who was reported to be sitting in the car with her head on the steering wheel on McGuffey Drive on Dec. 5. The female told officers she was broke down and her brother was on his way. The brother arrived and the vehicle was pulled off the roadway.

— Officers went to the residence of a male accused of pumping $18.69 worth of kerosene at an East Liverpool Road gas station and then driving off without paying on Dec. 5. Officers were able to track the driver through his license plate number which was given to them by a gas station employee. The male told officers it was accidental and he returned to the gas station and paid for the kerosene.

— Officers conducted a welfare check on a Maple Drive resident on Dec. 5. They spoke with the resident who told them everything was ok.

— Officers spoke with a female at a Sprucevale Road apartment on Dec. 5 regarding two 9-1-1 hang up calls. The female told officers she must have sat on her phone.

— Officers checked the area of Calcutta Smith Ferry Road on Dec. 5 for a male reported to be wearing hunting attire and walking down the road with a shotgun.

— A driver was issued a warning for only one working taillight following a Dec. 6 traffic stop on state Route 170.

— Officers arrived shortly after NorthStar Critical Care to a Grimms Bridge Road residence for a female having a mental crisis and wanting to go to the hospital for treatment on Dec. 6. She was transported to the hospital by North Star.

— Officers advised a male who reported damage to his car after taking it to Walmart for new tires that they will file a report at the police department, but it is a civil matter.

— Officers conducted a welfare check on a female at a Bloomfield Road residence and spoke to her by phone on Dec. 6. The female said she was worried about her daughter who is in an abusive relationship. Officers contacted East Liverpool to do a welfare check on the daughter.
