East Liverpool
— A male told officers over the phone that his wife was offered a ride by an unknown male on Dec. 1, which she denied. The caller said the male who was driving a dark colored vehicle and whose face was hidden by a mask in the dark followed her to a 4th Street location and attempted to follow her inside but was unsuccessful due to security doors. He was advised to let the apartment manager know about the incident and that officers would do extra checks in the area.
— Officers spoke with a male at a Jackman Street residence on Dec. 1 after his girlfriend called police and said he was being argumentative and she wanted him removed. The male told officers nothing physical had happened and he agreed to return to his mother’s residence and was given a courtesy ride there by officers.
— A female called police on Dec. 1 and told them she feared for her life over money owed on a car. Officers went to her Northside residence where she showed them text messages from the person and his family, but none of them indicated violence but instead said pay what is owed, or the car would be taken back. Officers then spoke with the male and advised him not to contact her anymore and of the process for civil complaints. The male said if it was not paid that day he would go to the clerks of courts and begin the process for a civil complaint for the car.
— A driver was issued a verbal warning for failure to stop at a stop sign following a Dec. 1 traffic stop on Jackson Street.
— Officers checked on a report of a disabled vehicle on W. 8th Street on Dec. 1. When the officer checked the vehicle and found it not able to run, he called First Class Towing to have it moved from the roadway.
— A report was filed for alleged threats made over an X-Box game on Dec. 1
— An officer euthanized an injured deer that had been hit by a vehicle on Parkway and Rubicon Street with a single round on Dec. 1.
— Officers checked the area of Dewey Avenue on Dec. 1 after receiving a report of juveniles being chased by two pitbulls.
St. Clair Township
— Officers spoke with the owner of a disabled vehicle on the roadway on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road on Dec. 1 and the owner said he called AAA and requested Calcutta Towing. The towing company arrived and assisted the driver.
— An officer spoke with a female on the phone who told him on Dec. 1 that when she and her husband go to Walmart they are harassed by their old tenants, and she wants a report on file.
Liverpool Township
— A driver was given a warning for failing to come to a complete stop following a Dec. 1 traffic stop on Hill Boulevard.
— Officers did not find anything to indicate the cause of death or any signs of foul play when they arrived at a Park Place residence on Dec. 1 for a deceased male. The coroner was notified, and the male was transported by Lifeteam to Care Funeral Home
Sheriff Reports
–A deputy responded at 6:01 p.m. Monday to a property on Speidel Road, Hanover Township for a stolen vehicle report. The report did not describe the vehicle, but the complainant was advised it would be entered into the law enforcement data base as stolen.
— A juvenile-related incident was reported at 5:32 p.m. Sunday at the Deer Run Mobile Home Park, U.S. Route 62, Butler Township. A deputy spoke with the mother, who advised everything was good.
— An alarm drop was reported at 9:38 p.m. Sunday in the 2100 block of state Route 45, Salem Township. A deputy checked the immediate area and found everything secure.
–A deputy was dispatched at 11:43 p.m. Friday to Spillway Road, Hanover Township for a domestic violence report.
— A woman on state Route 644, Hanover Township, reported at 10:30 p.m. Friday that a man continues to harass her through text message, phone calls and trespassing on her property, entering her residence when she’s not present and telling her to go kill herself and hang herself in a tree. She was advised how to obtain a protection order.
— Deputies were dispatched at 8:27 p.m. Friday to the 33900 block of state Route 172, Hanover Township, for a man laying in a ditch, but when they checked the area, no one was found.
— A man on Macklin Road, Unity Township reported at 7:14 p.m. Friday that he wanted a Youngstown man removed from his property. While deputies were enroute, he advised the Youngstown man left.
— A Salem woman reported at 6:28 p.m. Friday that she had a custody exchange in the parking lot of the Dollar General, U.S. Route 30, Hanoverton Township, with her children’s father, who resides in West Township. She left the parking lot in her vehicle and said he has the children and is intoxicated. A deputy spoke with the man, who was not intoxicated or had any indication at all that he consumed any alcohol.
— A deputy checked the area of Thomas Road, Center Township at 5:37 p.m. Thursday regarding a 911 hangup call. The area was checked and nothing out of the ordinary was found.
— A deputy responded at 4:35 p.m. Thursday to a Lisa Lane residence, Center Township, for a civil matter, advising the caller how to proceed. The deputy also returned a call at 5:19 p.m. Thursday regarding a civil matter at a Steubenville Pike Road, Wayne Township property, advising the people how to proceed.
— An unruly juvenile was reported at 6:31 p.m. Thursday on Walnut Street, Rogers.
–A criminal mischief report was taken at the Quick Mart & More, state Route 45, Center Township, at 4:44 p.m. Thursday.
— An alarm was reported at 12:16 a.m. Dec. 10 at XL Sand & Gravel, state Route 170, Middleton Township. The building was checked and appeared secure.
— A suspicious man was reported jumping in and out of traffic in the area of the Family Dollar store, state Route 172, Hanover Township, at 8:59 p.m. Dec. 9, but no one was found.
— A deputy was dispatched at 7:08 p.m. Dec. 9 to Steubenville Pike Road at Spring Valley Road, Washington Township, for a suspicious vehicle parked in the area described as a blue Ford Escape. The area was checked, with nothing found.
— Deputies responded at 2:21 a.m. Dec. 9 to an alarm at Robinson Tree Farm, U.S. Route 30, Center Township. The residence and out buildings were checked and appeared secure at all doors and windows.
— An active alarm was reported at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 9 at Sleepy Hollow Golf Course, Homeworth Road, Knox Township. Deputies checked the perimeter of the building and found it secure.
— Deputies responded at 11:53 p.m. Dec. 7 to the Pit Stop, Wayne Township, for an alarm, finding everything secure after checking the windows and doors.
— An alarm was reported at 8:37 p.m. Dec. 7 at Global Pak, Elkton Road, Elkrun Township.A deputy was met by a keyholder who advised everything was secure and in place.
— A deputy responded at 8:35 p.m. Dec. 7 to Lisbon Road, Salem Township, to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol in an accident they had. The patrol units said they would handle the incident, due to the person being under the influence.
— A deputy was dispatched at 11:16 p.m. Dec. 6 to the parking lot of Beaver Creek Candles, County Home Road, Center Township, for a person having suicidal thoughts. Hanover Township EMS and Lifeteam EMS arrived and Lifeteam EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital in East Liverpool.
