-- Deputies were dispatched at 5:06 a.m. Saturday to state Route 164, Fairfield Township, regarding a welfare check, with a caller advising they could hear a woman screaming at a neighboring residence. Upon arrival at the suspected residence, a deputy made contact with a man who allowed the responding deputies inside the residence. The man advised that everything was OK and medical treatment was not needed. Another deputy went to a bedroom and spoke with the woman. Possible drugs were seen in plain view by the deputy and recovered. The woman said everything was OK. The possible drugs were placed into evidence.
-- A woman on Campbell Road, Hanover Township, reported at 7:54 p.m. Friday that she heard two gunshots and multiple people yelling and screaming, "it's dead," at her neighbor's residence. A deputy spoke with the neighbor, who said a possum was attacking his ducks and killing them. He put the possum down with a firearm.
-- An Akron woman called at 7:29 p.m. Nov. 20 to request a welfare check on her mother and father, who reside on state Route 172, West Township, due to not being able to reach them by phone. A deputy spoke with the mother and father, who were sleeping, and said everything is fine and they would call their daughter.
-- A man on South 12th Street, Knox Township, reported at 6:32 p.m. Nov. 20 that a gray Jeep was sitting in front of his residence in the road. Upon arrival, the vehicle was gone and the area was checked, with no contact made.
-- A state Route 45 resident in Madison Township reported people trespassing on his property at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday. A deputy checked the property, but didn't find anyone.
-- A 911 call from an auto alert was received at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday about a severe crash at Pine Hollow and Riffle roads. West Point EMS, the Ohio State Highway Patrol and deputies responded to the area, but could not find a crash. A spouse of the phone owner was found in the area attempting to locate them due to an alert they also received. Deputies later made contact with the owner of the phone and found them to be fine. The phone which sent the message had fallen from a vehicle and sent the alert.
--Deputies were dispatched at 11:52 p.m. Monday at JTS Pit Stop, state Route 164, Wayne Township, for an active alarm for indoor motion. Deputies checked the exterior and found the building appeared secure.
-- Deputies were called at 8:53 p.m. Saturday to Mark's Landing, Charlton Drive, Hanover Township, for a reported disturbance between customers. When deputies arrived, some of the customers causing the disturbance left. A deputy spoke with Amy J. Haines, 34, East Chestnut Street, Lisbon, who had active warrants out of Columbiana County Municipal Court and was transported to the Columbiana County Jail. According to court records, she failed to appear for a hearing in June on an obstructing official business case. A hearing is now set for Dec. 4.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 8:44 p.m. Saturday to Campbell Road, Hanover Township, for a domestic violence report. All parties involved advised it was a disagreement over living arrangements.
-- A found property report was taken on East Lake Road, Hanover Township, at 8:06 p.m. Saturday after property was found in Guilford Lake due to the water levels going down. The property was collected and put into the evidence room at the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office.
