Highway Patrol

— Timothy Conn, of Rochester Road in East Rochester, was cited at 9:11 p.m. Oct. 24 in West Township for failure to yield, after proceeding from a stop sign at state Route 172 and CR402 and striking Brian Hoopes, of Hoopes Road in Salem.

— Kelly Cooper, of Somer Street in Leetonia, was cited at 11:39 p.m. Oct. 30 in Elkrun Township for failure to control, after going off the left side of the roadway near state Route 154 and Morris Road before striking a sign and ditch.

— William Stuart, of New Brighton, was not cited at 6:25 p.m. Oct. 31 in Salem Township, after losing control of his vehicle while eastbound on state Route 14 when his front passenger tire separated from the vehicle, resulting in him going of the roadway into a guardrail.

— Cynthia Straney, of Marietta, was cited at 2:20 p.m. Oct. 27 in East Palestine for failure to maintain an assured clear distance, after striking a vehicle driven by Andrew Kress, of St. Clairsville, as both vehicles were eastbound on state Route 46.

East Liverpool

— Officers responding to a report of a fight on Oct. 22 on state Route 39 between two males over a car was told by one of the males involved that he was fighting with the other and he wouldn’t get out of the car. The second male was gone when officers arrived. The first male asked officers to go with him to the residence where both males live so he could get some of stuff from the house. When they arrived, the door was locked, and the second male wasn’t answering. The male was advised to go spend the night at his girlfriend’s house.

— Officers responding on Oct. 22 to an unknown disturbance at a Michigan Avenue residence spoke with a juvenile caller who told them he and his stepdad were having an argument due to his stepdad trying to get him in trouble with his probation officer. After getting in contact with the juvenile’s mother who said the juvenile can go stay with his dad, officers transported the juvenile to his father’s.

— Melissa Hobbs, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for expired plates following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— After arriving to check out a suspicious vehicle on Oct. 22 on Ohio Avenue, officers were notified that the vehicle had left.

— A warrant for criminal trespass was issued for Bob Pierce, age and address not provided, after he was reported by Heights Manor management on Oct. 22 for living in a Shadylane residence after having been previously evicted and trespassed from the property

— A male came into the police department on Oct. 22 to file a police report for theft of his trailer license plate.

— Officers checked the 400 section of Woodlawn Hills on Oct. 22 for a male who is on the CMHA trepass list.

— Arthur Sherin, 48, address not provided, was charged with criminal trespass and transported to the Columbiana County Jail on outstanding warrants after being reported for being at a CCHMA residence on Wilbert Avenue, a property he has been trespassed from on Oct. 22.

— Officers conducted a welfare check on a Riverside Park resident on Oct. 22 after being alerted by the mailman that the resident had about four days of newspapers outside his home. A death report was filed.

— Officers spoke with the two occupants of a parked car on Globe Street which was reported as suspicious on Oct. 22. The occupants told officers everything was okay and they were just talking.

— Officers were able to recover a stolen phone from an EcoATM after the owner discovered the location of the phone by pinging the location on Oct. 22.

St. Clair Township

— Jason Wilson, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for a speed of 56 mph in a 40-mph zone following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on Y&O Road.

— A driver was given a verbal warning following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.

— A driver was issued a warning for no license plate light following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.

— A driver was issued a warning for not having rear lights on the vehicle on following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on Dresden Avenue.

— Brian Reed, age and address not provided, was cited for no driver’s license and an open container and given a warning for no license plate light following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.

— Officers searched the area of Duke Road for a male reported as suspicious on Oct. 22.

— A driver was issued a verbal warning for speed following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.

Liverpool Township

— Stephanie Fidak, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for speed of 75 mph in a 55-mph zone following an Oct. 22 traffic stop on state Route 7.
