— A woman in Canton called at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday to request a welfare check on a family on Ridge Road, West Township due to receiving a text message that they may be in danger. A deputy spoke to a member of the family, who stated they wanted no contact with the woman.

— A deputy was dispatched at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday to Hartley Road, Knox Township for a domestic violence report. A refusal was signed.

— A deputy was dispatched at 4:47 p.m. Wednesday to South Lane Drive, Hanover Township for a domestic violence report. A refusal was signed.

— A deputy responded at 1:56 a.m. Wednesday to a report of two large cows walking down Scroggs Road toward state Route 154 from Churchill Road. The area was checked, but no cows were located. The deputy spoke to the patrol unit for the prison and they did not see any cows either.

— A man on Center Road, Knox Township reported at 5:49 p.m. Tuesday that his neighbor put a security camera on the telephone pole that’s on the property line. He was told to contact Ohio Edison.

— A woman on Maple Street, West Township reported at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday that her neighbor discharged a firearm into the ground on his property, due to her son’s three dogs barking.

— A deputy returned a call to a caller at 1:17 a.m. Tuesday on Gavers Road, Hanover Township, but they did not answer and their voice mailbox was full, then the other party called and complained that the original caller was making threats toward her of self harm and was constantly harassing her. She was told to cease all contact with the original caller and document the harassment. While on the phone with the person, it was determined a protection order had been filed against them, so the deputy went to the residence to serve it.

— A domestic dispute was reported at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 30, Center Township between two people. Deputies spoke with both people and observed the woman to have visible injuries. Denver Nelson Stonestreet, 35, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was charged with domestic violence and taken to the Columbiana County jail.

— The staff from Duke and Duchess, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township, called at 3:21 p.m. Monday to report finding multiple live rounds of ammunition lying in the grass on the property. A deputy collected the ammunition and transported it to the evidence room at the sheriff’s office for safekeeping.
