Sheriff’s Office

— A woman on Main Street, Knox Township reported at 6:48 p.m. Saturday that a man from Alliance was at the Cross Eyed Moose in Knox Township. Dispatch advised that the man has multiple active warrants out of Columbiana County. Upon arrival, he left and went to a residence on Main Street, Knox Township, but when deputies spoke with the resident, the resident said he wasn’t there.

— A deputy was dispatched at 8:11 p.m. Thursday to Depot Road at Baker Road in Center Township to check the welfare of a woman who was walking. The caller who stopped to see if she needed assistance said the woman told her she was assaulted. The deputy did not find her.

— A resident on Oakridge Road, Yellow Creek Township, reported at 7:50 p.m. Thursday that he and his landlord were having a disagreement over him cutting wood on the property. He was advised this was a civil matter and to contact an attorney.

— A woman on Raley Road, Elkrun Township reported at 3 p.m. Thursday that she had no trespassing signs posted on her property and she has told a Salem Township man multiple times to stay off of her property. She said she doesn’t want to speak with him.

— A man in Florida reported at 2:49 p.m. Thursday that he owns property on Darlington Road, Middleton Township and somehow his property was listed for sale on Zillow, by someone claiming to be him. He said he’s in the process of getting this resolved with the realtor company.

— A man on U.S. Route 30, Center Township reported at 1:47 p.m. Thursday that his ex-girlfriend has a protection order filed against him and she continues to drive by his residence and follow him around in her vehicle.

— Deputies responded at 4:27 a.m. Thursday for a call of shots fired in the area of Hazel Run Road and Clarks Mill Road in Washington Township. Deputies checked the area and did not locate anyone or any evidence of gun shots being fired.

— A woman on state Route 45, Madison Township filed a telecommunications harassment report at 3:52 p.m. Sept. 23. A warrant was issued for a woman out of Columbiana County Municipal Court.

— Deputies responded at 2:16 a.m. Sept. 23 to the Madison Township garage for a report of lights being on in one of the dump trucks and some compartments being opened on other equipment. Deputies located the dump truck which only had its tail lights on, but no others. The vehicle was secured and it appeared to be faulty wiring. Deputies found further compartments on a mini-excavator opened, however there was damage on the machine that prevented the compartments from being closed. The damage appeared to be from being struck by another vehicle. Deputies found all the equipment and buildings secure.

— A woman on Waterford Road, Unity Township called at 12:22 p.m. Sept. 17 to report ongoing issues with her neighbors. She said they have yelled out at her and her husband on a regular basis and made mean comments towards her and her family. She said she filed a protection order against her neighbor and wants something done about the constant harassment. She was told there needed to be corroborating evidence such as a video for the harassment. She provided an audio track but was told it wasn’t viable without knowing who’s voice are actually on the recording. She was told several times in the past about needing to place cameras on her residence of record them with her phone. She further complained that the neighbors contacted Section 8 housing and the dog pound because her dog wasn’t being taken care of. Now she said her landlord is threatening to evict her if problems continue with the neighbors.

— Deputies responded at 6:42 a.m. Sept. 18 to the old Frola Motel outside of Lisbon for residents involved in a disturbance. Deputies found that one of the residents filed a protection order against the other but it had not been served yet. Deputies served the protection order and advised the respondent that if he makes contact with the petitioner, he’ll be charged with a protection order violation.

East Liverpool

­– An officer conducting a welfare check on a Shady Lane resident on Sept. 17 was informed by a neighbor the female was seen leaving the residence four or five days prior and hasn’t been seen since.

— An officer on his way to Thompson Park to check out a dirt complaint on Sept. 17 was notified by dispatch that the caller called back in and said the dirt bike was loaded into a blue dodge pickup.

— An officer responded to a Florence Street residence on Sept. 19 for a family dispute over a car. A female told the officer that the other female had been using the vehicle owned by the mother and she wasn’t supposed to. The female said she was going to keep using the car because she makes the payments but was informed by the officer that didn’t matter because the vehicle was owned by the mother.

— A female told an officer on Sept. 17 that someone tried to jump her on Lincoln Avenue and gave the name of another female and asked officers to contact her and tell her not to contact her again. Officers went to a Lincoln Avenue residence and asked to speak to the female and was told she already left. – A mother and son who was reported to officers for sitting in a driveway with their four-way flashers on arguing on Lisbon Street on Sept. 17 told officers they were not arguing, just upset that they had run out of gas and that there were no issues. The officer stood by until another party brought gas for the vehicle.

— Officers responded to a Shady Lane resident on Sept. 17 for a DOA.

— Officers searched a portion of state Route 39 on Sept. 17 for a male reportedly riding a bicycle on the freeway.

— Officers were requested to a welfare check on a juvenile on Sept. 17 at a Lee Street residence by the father.

— A school resource officer arrived at a Michigan Ave. residence on Sept. 17 to follow a parent and male juvenile to school to meet with his probation officer after the mother had to call officers to the residence because the juvenile became combative when she tried to get him up for school.

— The driver of a van who was reported for honking the horn on Jefferson Street on Sept. 17 told the responding officer that she was trying to locate a friend who she was supposed to need a ride to but they were not answering.

— An officer observed an old drug house on Ohio Avenue on Sept. 17 looking for a dark colored vehicle that had been reported outside the house.

— Officers told a male who was not listed on a lease that he was not permitted to be on any CMHA properties that he had to gather his things in leave when they responded to a disturbance all at a Wilbert Avenue residence on Sept. 17.

— A female told officers on Sept. 17 that while she was using the restroom at Giant Eagle an employee knocked on the door and she told them that she was in there, but the male employee walked in anyways and observed her sitting on the toilet and then turned around and left. The female also told the officer the only way into the restroom was with a key. Officers spoke to the employee who said he was doing a restroom check and that he knocked didn’t hear any response, opened the unlocked door and saw the female washing her hands. – A female was advised by officers to have no contact with another female after officers responded on Sept. 17 to Lincoln Avenue where the two were reported for shouting at each other.

— A male came to the station on Sept. 17 regarding his vehicle being hit the night before. He told officers he did not have want an accident report, just wanted it documented.

— Officers responding to W. 2nd Street on Sept. 17 for a report of suspicious activity spoke to a resident that told them she had reason to believe someone was around her garage due to her dog barking. Officers checked the area and found no signs of foul play or damage. – An officer transported a female and her infant to her grandmother’s house after responding to a domestic violence situation in the 1000 block of Ambrose Avenue on Sept. 17. After speaking with both parties involved the officer called the on-call prosecutor and advised her of the situation. He told her both parties made allegations but there was no clear aggressor or proof to support either statement. The officer was advised to tell both parties to separate and warned of possible charges if there were any further issues. Both parties signed a domestic violence refusal form.

— A male called the police department on Sept. 17 to report another male had tried to poison his children. He told police he had kicked the male out of his house and after he left when he looked at his children’s drinks there was cleaning supplies in them, but he had no proof that the male had done anything.

St. Clair

— An officer made the decision to put a deer down due to it having no chance of survival from the injuries it sustained after being struck by a vehicle Sept. 17 on Old Fredericktown Road.

— Officers were dispatched to Cornell Street for a report of a male putting his hands on a female on Sept. 17.

— A female came to the police station to report fraud on her WesBanco Account. She told officers between Aug. 20 and Sept. 17 there were over 174 transactions ranging up to $20 taken from her account without her authorization.

— Officers received a report of a red vehicle parked behind Giant Eagle with an extension cord running from the store on Sept. 17. When they arrived, they found the car with two people sleeping inside. The couple were told they could not hook up to any business for power without permission and they needed to move along.

— A male came to the station on Sept. 17 to file a civil report about his ex-wife having the vehicle they both have a title for.

— A verbal warning was issued to a driver for having a headlight out following a Sept. 17 traffic stop on Dresden Avenue. The driver told the officer she had hit a deer, and the headlight was being ordered.
