Sheriff’s Office
— Deputies responded at 8:56 p.m. Thursday to the area of Hillcrest Road, Wellsville for a disturbance, with the caller told how to proceed and advised of the process for filing a protection order.
— A welfare check was requested in the area of Lisbon Road, Center Township at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, with a deputy making contact with the person in question. The person said they were perfectly fine.
— Deputies responded at 1:35 p.m. Wednesday to Teegarden Road, Center Township for a complaint of workers from a fencing company trespassing on the caller’s property to erect the fence. Deputies spoke with both parties and were referred to Ohio law regarding entry onto adjoining property to maintain fence, which gives the builder of the fence no more than 10 feet on the adjoining property to erect and maintain a fence. This information was passed to the complainant.
— A Minerva man requested a report at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, saying that he boards his two horses at a stable on Georgetown Road, Knox Township and the owner is telling him he needs to take his two horses and leave the property or he will auction off his horses and turn them into dog meat if he does not get off the property. He was advised to contact an attorney.
— A couple on state Route 154, Elkrun Township reported at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday that an East Liverpool woman continues to trespass on the property. A deputy spoke to the woman and advised her to stay off of the property, per the couple.
— An alarm was reported at Southern Local High School, state Route 39, at 5:05 p.m. Sept. 14. All doors and windows were checked and the building was found secure.
— A 911 hangup call was reported at 8:40 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, Hunter Camp Road, Lisbon. A deputy arrived and learned a person called by accident and everything was fine.
— A man on state Route 14, Unity Township reported at 7:51 p.m. Sept. 11 that his neighbor is yelling at him to come over on his property. A deputy spoke to the neighbor, who said they are in a dispute over multiple trees planted on the property line. He was told to have no contact with the man and to contact an attorney.
— A deputy at 7:34 p.m. Sept. 11 returned a call over a civil matter and advised the person how to proceed.
— A deputy was dispatched at 9:27 p.m. Sept. 10 to East Liverpool City Hospital in East Liverpool for an inmate who was in custody on a GPS unit, walked out of the hospital emergency room and left. East Liverpool Police located the inmate at a location on Washington Street, East Liverpool. Erica J. Sprankle, 40, Aliquippa, Pa, was charged with escape and appeared recently in Columbiana County Municipal Court where she will face a pretrial on Sept. 29.
