LISBON — A woman accused of attempting to pass drugs and cigarettes to an inmate by concealing the items in the Columbiana County courthouse elevator was served Tuesday with a secret indictment for complicity and drug possession.

Ashley Bable, 38, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, was charged with a third-degree felony for complicity in the commission of an offense and misdemeanor possession of drugs.

According to the indictment, Bable was allegedly observed on surveillance camera by county sheriff’s deputies taping a small package to the back of the handrail in the elevator to Common Pleas Court. Deputies retrieved the package, which contained suboxone and cigarettes. Then deputies replaced the package with a dummy package, which was later retrieved by a county jail inmate who was there for a court appearance on Oct. 30, 2023. Bable possessed buprenorphine.

Also served with secret indictments were:

— Robert Fuson, 47, West Wilson Street, Salem, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on Dec. 9, 2024.

— Bradley Cianni, 39, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs and misdemeanors of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments for allegedly possessing methamphetamine, paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments such as syringes on Sept. 11, 2024.

— Zachary Hutchison, 40, listed as homeless, possession of deadly weapon while under detention, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing a homemade weapon while he was under detention in the Columbiana County jail on June 7.
