Highway Patrol

— George Hein, of St. Jacobs Logtown Road in Columbiana, was cited at 9:01 a.m. July 24 in Center Towship for failure to yield the right of way, after pulling out from a private driveway into the path of Robyn Bellar, of Monroe Avenue in Salem, as she was southbound on St. Jacobs Logtown Road.

— Angela Smith, of Lower Elkton Road in Columbiana, was cited at 3:15 p.m. July 21 in Elkton Township for failure to control, after running her vehicle off state Route 517 into a guardrail. — Nathan Roush, state Route 170 in East Palestine, was cited at 2:38 a.m. July 19 in Fairfield Township for failure to control, after driving off the road while eastbound on state Route 558, hitting a ditch, culvert, milepost sign and mailbox before re-entering the road and going over the center line and going off the westbound side of the road. According to the patrol narrative, Roush allegedly admitted to consuming three beers prior to the crash, which may be alcohol-related. Charges may be pending based on test results.
