-- Officers checked on an alarm at the VFW where they were met by a member who turned the alarm off on May 29.

-- An officer who observed a male walking behind the Rite Aid building on Walnut Street on May 29 advised the male that there shouldn't be anyone back there.

-- Officers searched the area of St. George Street where Casa de Emanuel is located for a suspicious person was reported to be walking up to homes with bolt cutters on May 29.

-- Officers assisted the Columbiana County Drug Task Force with the execution of a search warrant at a Holiday Street residence on May 29. The officers took Catherine Shaffer, 23, address not provided, into custody on an active warrant.

-- An officer checked the East Liverpool City Hospital parking lot on May 29 for a vehicle reported to have a dog in it without the car running or windows down.

-- Officers found no signs of entry when responding to a house alarm for an Elysian Way residence on May 29. They spoke to the homeowner by phone who said they would be home in 40 minutes.

-- Officers responding to a call of a four-year-old boy falling from the second story window of a Stevens Alley residence on May 29. The officers arrived at the residence and walked out back to find an 8-year-old boy standing with the 4-year-old boy who was naked and covered in dirt. The older boy told officers he was walking downstairs through the living room when he saw his little brother falling from the window to the ground. Officers tried to talk to the younger boy to find out if he was injured and was told by the grandmother that the child is non-verbal. The child was transported to East Liverpool City Hospital and then to Akron for trauma. Officers noted he would notify CPS.

-- Abigail Kiger, 21, address not provided, was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Columbiana County Jail on May 29 after officers responded to a Shadylane residence for a domestic violence call.

Sheriff Reports

-- Deputies were dispatched at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday to state Route 45, Madison Township, for a domestic violence report. All parties involved separated and left the residence, with no violence or threats occurring.

-- Personnel from Duke & Duchess, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township, reported at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday that a counterfeit $10 bill was in their money count. A deputy confiscated the counterfeit $10 bill and it was put into the evidence room at the sheriff's office.

-- A couple on state Route 172, West Township, reported at 10:44 a.m. Monday that someone was trying to open bank accounts in their names.

Liverpool Township

-- An unnamed male was issued a citation for driving alone on a driver's permit following a May 29 traffic stop on state Route 7. The officer told the male to call for a ride home because he could not let him drive him drive alone. The male's son picked him up.

-- An unnamed female was issued a citation and court date for driving with expired plates following a May 30 traffic stop on Curry Street.

-- An unnamed juvenile, 17, was issued a citation and court date to appear in juvenile court for speeding and being a juvenile traffic offender following a May 31 traffic stop on state Route 7. The juvenile was clocked by the officer doing 73 in a 55 mph-zone.

-- An unnamed driver was issued a citation and court date for speed following a June 1 traffic stop on state Route 7.

-- An unnamed driver was issued citations for driving under suspension and expired plates following a June 2 traffic stop on Dewey Avenue. The vehicle was towed.

-- Darian Bradely, age and address not provided, was issued citations and a court date for speed and an expired license following a June 4 traffic stop on state Route 7. The officer noted that Bradely has already had three verbal warnings for speed and a citation for speed and reckless operation since August 2023.

-- Richard Haught, age and address not provided, was issued a citation which he refused to sign and a court date for speed following a June 4 traffic stop on state Route 7.

-- Tara Woods, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed following a June 4 traffic stop on state Route 7.

-- An unnamed driver was issued citations for driving under suspension and no headlights after dark following a June 4 traffic stop on state Route 7. The registered owner of the vehicle was allowed to pick it up.

-- An unnamed male was issued a citation for expired plates following a June 5 traffic stop on state Route 7.
