— A suspicious person was reported at 1:31 a.m. Monday in the area of Case Road, Knox Township. Deputies checked the immediate and surrounding areas and found no one.

— A noise complaint was reported at 11:55 p.m. Sunday in the area of state Route 45, Madison Township. Deputies made contact with the person and asked them to keep the noise down. They agreed.

–The Minerva Post Office called at 3:10 p.m. Saturday to request a welfare check on a resident on U.S. Route 30, West Township, due to the woman not retrieving her mail in the past two weeks from her mailbox. A deputy spoke with her and she said she was fine.

— A deputy at 3:24 p.m. Saturday spoke with a couple on Westville Lake Road, Knox Township, for a civil matter. The report said they are going through a divorce and accusing each other of taking their property. They were advised to contact their attorneys over marital property.

— A deputy responded at 5:57 p.m. Friday to the area of Middle Beaver Road, Elkrun Township for a suspicious vehicle. The deputy spoke with the caller and was able to figure out the owner of the vehicle, finding everything to be in good order.

— A civil matter was reported at 5:25 p.m. Friday on state Route 45, Madison Township. A deputy spoke to the caller and advised them how to proceed.

— A Salem resident came to the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office on County Home Road, Center Township, and advised they were having mental health issues and needed to go to the hospital. EMT EMS transported the person to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance.

— A resident on Dutchtown School Road, Elkrun Township, reported at 5:42 p.m. Thursday that a man who hasn’t lived at the Dutchtown School Road property for over five years won’t change his address.

— Chippewa Township Police Department in Pennsylvania requested at 7:27 a.m. Thursday that a deputy make contact with a woman on state Route 14, Unity Township, regarding a theft report in the Chippewa Township jurisdiction and to have her contact them. A deputy made contact with her over the phone and she was advised.

— A theft of a firearm was reported at 4:50 p.m. June 4 on Stephen Drive, West Township. The person was told how to proceed.

— A deputy was dispatched at 10:05 p.m. June 3 to North Street, Knox

Township for a 911 hang-up call. The homeowner said everything was fine and that his grandchildren were playing on the phone.

— A man on state Route 14, Unity Township, requested at 6:02 p.m. June 3 that his ex-wife be removed from the property. She left in her vehicle while a deputy was en route.

— A deputy was dispatched at 5:26 p.m. June 3 to Mark’s Landing, Charlton Drive, Hanover Township, for a disturbance between a man and a woman. The deputy spoke to both, who said there were no issues now. They both went their separate ways.

— A man on Bowman Road, Knox Township reported at 2:11 p.m. June 3 that he found a piece of cardboard in his mailbox and that “I’ve finally found you” was written on it. He said his son had been bullied at school over the past year.

— A woman from Middleton Township reported at 9:44 p.m. May 31 that a man was working on her vehicle at a location in East Liverpool and now he’s in jail and her vehicle is gone from the location. A deputy spoke with the man in jail, who said the vehicle was moved to a different location in East Liverpool. The woman was advised of the new location.

— A deputy was dispatched at 8:48 p.m. May 31 to Hadley Road, Unity Township, for a welfare check on a juvenile. The report was sent to child protective services.

— A woman on Taylor Road, Middleton Township, reported at 7:16 p.m. May 31 that her neighbor was shooting and she was concerned that he wasn’t shooting in a safe manner due to past incident in December 2024. A deputy spoke to a man who said they were shooting into the ground and they were done. He said the person who was at his residence in December 2024 is no longer welcome there.

— A woman on West Main Street, Salem reported at 4:20 p.m. May 31 that her outside security camera captured someone trespassing on her property at 2:43 a.m.

— A man on Columbiana Waterford Road, Fairfield Township, called at 4:17 p.m. May 31 to request a relative be removed from his property, saying she was sitting in a vehicle at the end of his driveway. She left while a deputy was en route.

— A Youngstown woman reported at 4:18 p.m. May 31 that she’s having a custody issue with a relative in Fairfield Township who has custody of her son.

— A woman on Center Avenue, Center Township reported at 4:08 p.m. May 31 that her bank card was missing and a transaction of $800 was taken out. Her bank requested a report.
