-An officer advised a male who was taking siding off a condemned home on Erie Street on May 21, that no one was allowed to be on the property or take anything from the property. The officer told the male to put everything back that he had in his cart and that if he was caught doing it again he would be charged.
-Officers checked the area of Oak and Franklin Streets on May 21 for someone reported to be causing a disturbance by repeatedly shouting “Woo-Hoo” for 15 minutes. They checked the area but found nothing.
-Officers spoke with a resident in the 100 block of Center Street on May 21, who said a male in a blue hoodie rode and electric scooter through his yard and did burnouts in his driveway, so he asked him to get off his property at which point the male in the hoodie threatened to fight him. The male asked the officers if they make contact with the male to advise him to stay off his property. The officers checked the area but did not find anyone fitting the description.
-An officer, after being notified of a baby deer in the roadway on 2nd Street on May 21, checked on the deer. A female in the area said the mother had run into a wooded area. The officer moved the deer off the road into the parking lot close to where the mother was last seen. The officer checked back on the deer later and saw the mother standing close by where the baby was lying.
-An officer was flagged down by a female on Rubicon Street on May 21 to tell him that a man she didn’t know was hanging around the back of home and she wanted a report on file. The officer spoke with the female on safety precautions to take and if he comes back to take a cell phone photo of him and not to approach him.
-On May 21, the school resource officer for North Elementary assisted with a lockdown drill at the school.
-An officer responded to a private property crash at the Dresden Drive Thru on May 21. A driver told the officer that she was attempting to pull through the drive thru and struck the side of the building causing the framework to shift inward.
-Michael Gaseca (age and address not provided) was found to be at fault in a private property crash at the Orchards on Armstrong Lane on May 21. Gacesa was backing out of a parking spot and struck another vehicle causing heavy damage. Both parties exchanged insurance information at the scene.
-Officers responded to a St. Clair Avenue residence for a report of a dog at large standing a yard displaying slightly aggressive behavior on May 22. Officers made contact with the dog’s owner who said she wasn’t at home and for them to let the dog in the house. Officers let the dog in the residence.
-Officers searched the area of Bank Street on May 22 for a car reported to be going up and down the road revving its engine.
-Brian Specht, 36, was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant on May 22 after officers responded to a report of two men sleeping in a tent near the railroad tracks. Specht told the officers he was homeless. The officers observed in plain view a used meth pipe next to Specht’s phone in the tent.
