Highway Patrol

-- Dawn Bailey, 76, Prestwick Court, Columbiana, was cited for right-of-way at intersections after she was traveling north on Old state Route 14 in Fairfield Township and failed to yield while making a left-hand turn onto state Route 14 from a stop sign, striking a westbound vehicle, driven by Douglas Gill, 64, Crooksville, at 1:28 p.m. Feb. 14. Gill's vehicle went off of the right side of state Route 14, reentered the road, crossed the center line and struck a third vehicle driving eastbound on state Route 14. The third vehicle, driven by Owen Wine, 19, My Way, New Waterford, and Gill's vehicle both then traveled off of the left side of the road. Both Gill and Wine were transported by Columbiana EMS to Mercy Health- St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with suspected minor injuries.

-- Ashley Moore, 37, state Route 172, Lisbon, was cited for driving left of center after the vehicle she was driving east on Georgetown Road in Knox Township drove left of center and struck a tractor-trailer driven by Fortune Gonzalez, 49, Phoenix, Ariz., at 3:06 p.m. Feb. 13.

Columbiana County Sheriff's Office

-- Unknown suspicious activity was reported at 1:01 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Salineville Road and Minor Street in Salineville. The area was checked and no suspicious activity was observed.

-- Independence Police Department in Cuyahoga County called at 6 p.m. Saturday to request a welfare check on a man and his 11-year-old son on Y & O Road, Madison Township. A deputy spoke with the man and his son, who were fine.

-- A reckless driver was reported at 4:48 p.m. Saturday in the 8500 block of Rochester Road, West Township. A deputy spoke with the driver, who was at his residence on Knox School Road, West Township. He was fine and advised he was dodging snow drifts in the road.

-- A deputy conducting a welfare check at 4:54 p.m. Friday in Butler Township found the person deceased from a natural death.

-- A caller at 4:49 p.m. Friday on Georgetown Damascus Road, Knox Township, reported vehicles drag racing up and down the road. A deputy checked the area, but found nothing.

-- An alarm drop was reported at 3:51 p.m. Friday on East Main Street, Washingtonville. All doors and windows were secure at ground level.

-- A woman on Rochester Road, West Township, reported at 11:48 a.m. Friday that her 55-gallon burn barrels was stolen from her property.

-- A Black Road, Center Township, resident reported at 10:23 p.m. Feb. 15 that two people were in his yard and took off when he turned on the porch light. A deputy checked the property and area, but didn't find anyone.

-- A domestic disturbance was reported at 3:37 a.m. Feb. 15 on Hill Street, Center Township. Deputies found that a mother and daughter were involved and had an argument with threats made, but both parties refused to file any charges. Both signed refusals.

-- A domestic was reported at 10:39 p.m. Feb. 14 on Bower Road, West Township, between two people. A refusal was signed.

-- A deputy responded at 9:26 p.m Feb. 14 to Eagleton Road, Center Township, for a juvenile report.
