-- Deputies at 1:41 a.m. Sunday provided assistance to the Salem Police Department after receiving a call about a domestic dispute involving a loaded firearm on West 13th Street.
-- Deputies responded at 1:20 a.m. Sunday to Jefferson Street, Salineville, for a report of people walking down the street playing loud music and hitting street signs with their hands. No one was located.
-- A welfare check was requested at 10:01 p.m. Saturday on state Route 165, Unity Township. A deputy spoke with the person, who was fine.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 2:10 a.m. Saturday for an alarm reportedly going off at a local business at Knox School Road, Knox Township. Upon further investigation, what was sounding like an alarm was actually a windmill located on a local farm.
-- An alarm was reported at 10:21 p.m. Friday at Dollar General, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township. All doors and windows were secure at ground level. There was an alarm at the same location at 5:31 a.m. Friday, with everything found secure.
-- A deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a traffic accident in the 35000 block of state Route 172, Center Township, at 4:44 p.m. Feb. 8. Hanover Township Fire and EMS and Lisbon Fire Department were also on scene.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at 2:23 a.m. Feb. 2 on Stanley Drive, Knox Township. Both parties denied any physical violence, with both signing a refusal to prosecute.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at 1:25 a.m. Feb. 2 on Autumn Road, Madison Township. The caller denied any physical violence occurred, just an argument. The female wanted to go to her mother's residence for the night. A refusal to prosecute was obtained, and a victims rights packet was given.
Liverpool Township
-- An officer responded to the 2000 block of Ohio Alley on Jan. 16 at 3:43 p.m., for a report of a possible theft from a vehicle. The officer was told the two vehicles involved had the doors opened and all the belongings inside them were gone through. She did not believe anything was taken.
-- An officer responded to a delivery truck in a ditch on Curry Street on Jan. 19 at 4:56 p.m. The officer called First Class Towing. An Amazon employee stepped out of the truck and told the officer he had already called a tow truck. Both tow companies arrived and pulled the truck from the ditch.
-- An officer was notified of a minor private property crash in the 800 block of Valley Avenue on Jan. 20 at 10:08 a.m.
-- An officer sitting stationary on Jan. 21 at 1:38 p.m., observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at Parkway and Anderson Boulevard. The vehicle turned onto Rubicon where the driver noticed the officer behind him and took off at a high rate of speed, failing to stop at the stop sign at Rubicon and Anderson. The officer pursued the vehicle and got it to stop on Pennsylvania Avenue after cutting him off. The driver, Joseph Desarro, 30, (address not provided) was taken into custody at gunpoint. An inventory of the vehicle was done with evidence being taken for lab testing. First Class Towing towed the vehicle.
-- An officer using Lidar on state Route 7 on Jan. 23 at 12:02 a.m., clocked a vehicle doing 75 in a 55-mph zone. The officer conducted a traffic stop and issued Michael Bertine (age and address not provided) a citation for speed.
Wellsville
-- Officers responded on Jan. 21 at 6:17 p.m., to the 2000 block of Chester Avenue where a resident told them he went to gather firewood and noticed his back bedroom window broken and a bullet trapped in the glass. Officer checked around the residence but found no footprints in the snow. An investigation is pending.
-- Officers responded to a parent's complaint of an unruly child at Independence Square on Jan. 25 at 10:05 p.m. The mother told officers her daughter barricaded herself in her bedroom. When she got into the room, her daughter stormed out of the house. The mother was advised to go to Lisbon and file unruly charges against the daughter who officers placed on a five-day informal probation.
-- A male came to the station on Jan. 26 at 8:57 a.m., to report damage to his fence at his property in the 1200 block of Anderson Avenue. The male said the fence was damaged when someone drove into it. Officers pulled footage of the incident and found the owner of the vehicle. Steven Carmen Jr. (age and address not provided) was cited for driving under suspension and failing to report an accident.
