-- A female came into the station on Jan. 23 at 5:17 p.m. to report she had received an alert from Discovery Credit Monitoring regarding a false inquiry to JPMCB. A report was filed.
-- An officer spoke by telephone to a male on Jan. 25 at 4:01 p.m. The male reported losing his black wallet with all his personal information in it in Dunham's Plaza on Jan. 16.
Columbiana County Sheriff's Office
-- Deputies responded at 2:56 a.m. Tuesday to JTS Pit Stop, state Route 164, Lisbon, for a business alarm. The property was checked from the ground level and appeared secure.
-- A husband and wife, Jaycent Staats, 40, and Melissa Staats, 38, both U.S. Route 30, East Rochester, were each charged with domestic violence and drug paraphernalia after a report of drug activity at their residence at 6:02 a.m. Sunday. Melissa Staats handed deputies two clear plastic bags and a set of scales and advised it was her husband's stuff. She advised of a domestic violence incident, but continued to be uncooperative. Jaycent was found hiding in a trash can behind the post office. He tried to claim the bags and scales weren't his. Both were charged.
-- Deputies went to an address on U.S. Route 30, Hanover Township, to make contact with a person for the Stark County Sheriff's Office at 5:53 a.m. Saturday. Deputies found the property unoccupied and abandoned, with no contact made with anyone.
-- Justin Kinser, 44, Homeworth Road, Alliance, was charged with domestic violence for allegedly head butting the 86-year-old victim and punching out a window during a domestic on Feb. 3 on Homeworth Road, Alliance. Deputies had responded to the address at 1:23 a.m. Saturday. The defendant was injured from punching through glass and was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. Once released, he was arrested and taken to the county jail.
-- A deputy responded at 1:45 a.m. Friday to a domestic disturbance on U.S. Route 30, Lisbon where a woman reported a man grabbed her by the arms multiple times and yelled at her, making her fear for her safety. Both were intoxicated at the time of the incident and the time of the report. Victor Munz, 50, U.S. Route 30, Lisbon, was charged with domestic violence and taken to the jail.
-- A deputy responded at 6:58 a.m. Jan. 30 for a report of a suspicious person at Y & O Road and East Liverpool Road in Madison Township. The male was located and found walking from Lisbon after being released form the jail the previous afternoon. He was identified and due to being improperly dressed was given a courtesy ride to East Liverpool and then to the state line since he lived in Pennsylvania.
-- Suspicious persons were reported around a business in the area of U.S. Route 30 near East Rochester at 4:18 a.m. Jan. 30. Nobody was located at the business and the area was checked from East Rochester to Minerva with no contact with anyone.
-- An alarm was reported at 11:53 p.m. Friday at Bethel United Church of Christ, Buck Road, Knox Township. All windows and doors were secure at ground level.
-- A resident on Buck Road, Knox Township reported at 4:17 p.m. Friday that her neighbor was shooting in an unsafe manner. A deputy advised the neighbor of the complaint and spoke with him.
-- A South Lane Drive, Hanover Township resident reported at 4:47 p.m. Thursday that someone bent her steel garage door.
-- A woman on state Route 172, West Township reported at 2:27 p.m. Thursday that her daughter was missing. A deputy spoke with the daughter via public service. She said she's not missing, that she moved to West Virginia and filed a protection order against her mother.
-- A deputy was called to the Columbiana County jail, County Home Road, Center Township at 8:49 p.m. Jan. 31 for an inmate having a medical issue.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 3:17 p.m. Jan. 31 to Pleasant View Drive, Center Township, for a welfare check. The deputy spoke with the person, who was fine.
-- Deputies responded to a residence on state Route 164, Center Township, after a female allegedly entered the residence without permission at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday. A warrant will be issued for her arrest.
-- A representative of Dollar General, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township, reported at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday that someone came into the store and attempted to buy multiple items with a counterfeit $50 bill.
