Columbiana County Sheriff's Office

-- Deputies were dispatched at 1:39 a.m. Monday for a suspicious vehicle at a property on U.S. Route 30, West Township, but the vehicle was gone before they arrived.

-- A deputy assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol on a traffic stop in the parking lot of Duke & Duchess, state Route 62, Knox Township, at 11:29 p.m. Jan. 27. Sebring police and a K9 unit also assisted. Jessica Cosgray, no age listed, Sebring, was cited for window tint and Jonathan Cosgray, no age listed, Sebring, was cited for seatbelt.

-- A suspicious vehicle was reported at 3:19 p.m. Saturday at a property on state Route 558, Fairfield Township. A deputy had dispatch make contact with the vehicle's owner in Center Township who said the vehicle broke down and he'll be having it towed.

-- An alarm was reported going off at a local business on East Taggart Street, East Palestine at 2:16 a.m. Saturday. The key holder called back and said no response was necessary due to workers doing overnight construction on the building.

-- A resident on Malone Road, Washington Township, reported at 12:40 a.m. Saturday that a suspicious person was walking north on Malone Road towards Salineville, wearing a head lamp and dragging a shovel. A deputy checked the area, but saw no one.

-- A deputy at 11:53 p.m. Friday assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a vehicle pursuit on Homeworth and North near the fire department.

-- A deputy was dispatched at 5:21 p.m. Friday to a medical call on state Route 45, Center Township. Lifeteam EMS transported the person to Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.

-- A man on Westville Lake Road, Knox Township, reported at 4:20 p.m. Friday that neighbors were shooting guns into the air. He wanted a report on file.

-- A woman on Apples Way Drive, Fairfield Township reported at 3:31 p.m. Friday that unknown people were walking around her residence and entered her shed. Nothing was missing, but she wanted a report on file.

-- Investigators, along with deputies with the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office assisted the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with the execution of a search warrant on Stump Road, West Township at 9:55 a.m. Jan. 25.

-- Deputies were dispatched at 6:52 p.m. Jan. 23 to Malone Road, Washington Township for an alleged attempted suicide. Lifeteam EMS transported the person to East Liverpool City Hospital.

-- A deputy at 1:26 a.m. Jan. 22 checked the welfare of a female who had called and said someone had robbed her and now was going door to door to find this person on South Lane Drive, Hanover Township.

-- A deputy assisted a Lisbon officer on a traffic stop on 6:12 a.m. Jan. 21 near Carter Lumber, state Route 154.

Highway Patrol

-- Bruce Bush, 69, Lisbon Street, Columbiana, was cited for failure to control after he drove his westbound vehicle off of the left side of state Route 344 in Fairfield Township at 6:52 p.m. Jan. 23 and struck a utility pole. Another vehicle driven by Alexis Smith, 20, Cross Street, Columbiana, was traveling eastbound on state Route 344 when it struck downed wires from the utility pole.

-- Jason Mort, 56, Glasgow Road, Salineville, was cited for assured clear distance after he ran into the back of another vehicle, driven by Bobbie Lester, 35, Fourth Street, Salem, while Lester was stopped in traffic northbound at the intersection of state Route 45 and Saltwell Road in Lisbon at 4:21 p.m. Jan. 23.

-- Noah Vanpelt, 21, Struthers, was cited for failure to control and seat belt after he drove his southbound vehicle off of the right side of Butcher Road in Salem Township at 6:05 a.m. Jan. 21, striking a mail box.

-- Ryan Burton, 19, Bethesda Road, Hanoverton, was cited for failure to control after the vehicle he was driving southbound went off of the right side of Foundry Hill Road in Franklin Township at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 21, striking a tree and a ditch.

-- James Ziser, 66, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, was cited for failure to control after he failed to negotiate a curve to the right with the eastbound vehicle he was driving on Butcher Road in Salem Township at 11:05 a.m. Jan. 19, traveling off of the road and striking a ditch and a utility pole.

-- Skylynn McConnell, 23, North Shadylane Drive, East Liverpool, was cited for failure to control after she drove her northwestbound vehicle off of the east side of state Route 11 in Elkrun Township at 10 a.m. Jan. 19, striking an embankment.
