Columbiana County Sheriff's Office

-- Deputies were dispatched at 1:42 a.m. Saturday to a Salem Unity Road, Salem Township, property for a domestic dispute. The caller said she and her boyfriend had an argument after a night of drinking. The male half left for the night and no physical violence occurred.

-- Deputies responded at 5:28 a.m. Thursday to a residence on state Route 14, Unity Township, for a report of a man entering a residence and pulling the covers off of an elderly woman. Deputies searched the area and the residence and did not locate anyone or any signs of forced entry into the home. The woman was evaluated by local EMS and did not wish to go to the hospital for a further evaluation.

-- A Cannons Mill Road, Madison Township, resident reported at 6:03 p.m. Thursday that his trailer was stolen from a residence on Hammond School Road, also Madison Township. The trailer was located on state Route 267 in St. Clair Township. A warrant for receiving stolen property was issued out of Columbiana County Municipal Court for another Madison Township resident.

Highway Patrol

-- Dustin Andric, 40, Lisbon was cited for failure to comply, driving under suspension, fictitious plates and speeding after his northbound vehicle on Woodsdale Road traveled off the left side of the roadway while making a right turn onto Winona Road, striking a ditch, and fleeing the scene on foot at 8:14 p.m. Monday in Butler Township. No injuries were reported.

-- Kyle Gloss, 22, East Palestine, was cited for failure to control after his westbound vehicle on state Route 558 failed to negotiate a curve, traveling off the left side of the roadway, and striking a storm drain and a concrete wall at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 29 in Elkrun Township. Gloss was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital Youngstown by Leetonia EMS for suspected minor injuries.

-- Gary Kappler, 73, Columbiana, was cited for failure to control after his eastbound vehicle on Georgetown Road went off the right side of the roadway, striking an embankment, overturning and spilling its load of sand into a field at 2:18 p.m. Dec. 28 in Knox Township. Kappler was transported to University Hospital Portage by Sebring EMS for a non-descript head injury.

-- Zachary Haynes, 22, Negley, was cited for failure to control after his southeastbound vehicle on state Route 165 went off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch at 6:19 p.m. Dec. 27. No injuries were reported.

-- Theresa Sevek, 36, Salem, was cited for failure to control after her eastbound vehicle on Salem Grange Road went off the right side of the roadway, striking a pole and an embankment at 9:39 p.m. Dec. 23 in Salem Township. Sevek refused treatment on scene for suspected minor injuries.
