-- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 23 at 12:22 p.m. to Market Street for a welfare check on a female in the alley. The female stated she was OK and that she was on lunch and got sick and did not need medical attention.
-- Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Smithfield Street for a possible domestic on Sept. 23 at 2:34 p.m. Officers did not hear anything when they arrived and were not able to make contact with anyone.
-- Officers were dispatched to the North Shadylane on Sept. 23 at 10:55 p.m. in reference to a vehicle honking its horn while driving by a residence. Officers checked the area but were unable to find a vehicle matching the description.
-- Officers were dispatched to the area behind Dave and Deb's Bar on Lisbon Street for a complaint of loud music on Sept. 23 at 10:53 p.m. Officers checked the area but had negative contact with any disturbing noise.
-- An officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Alpha Street for a theft on Sept. 23 at 11:06 a.m. The officer spoke to a male who said he woke up to his friend inside his residence and the $25 he had on the table was gone. The officer tried locating the friend but was unable to.
-- Officers responded on Sept. 23 at 11:50 p.m. to an alarm activation at Westgate Middle School. Officers noted that everything appeared to be in order.
-- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 23 at 2:54 a.m. to Pennsylvania Avenue for a possible trespass complaint. The caller reported the neighbor's house is empty and for sale, but lights were on in the house. Officers checked the property but were unable to find anyone inside.
-- Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of College Street for juveniles fighting on Sept. 23 at 2:24 p.m. When the officer arrived, he was told the three juveniles arguing had left and headed toward Thompson Avenue. The officer was not able to locate the juveniles.
-- A male reported to an officer on Sept. 23 at 11:21 a.m. that his mother has video of a theft that took place and he wanted to press charges.
-- Officers were dispatched to Wilbert Avenue for one to be removed on Sept. 23 at 5:06 a.m. The caller told officers that a male subject was in their home and they wanted him removed. When officers arrived, the male was already leaving.
-- An officer conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 23 at 9:07 p.m. on Minerva Street for a vehicle not having taillights on. The driver was given a verbal warning and turned his lights on.
-- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 23 at 1:56 a.m. to Shadylane for a driver in a vehicle that was continuously blowing the horn. Officers arrived to find Joshua Curry, 30, address not provided, wearing only shorts and appearing to be intoxicated. Curry began screaming obscenities at the officers and was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. He was sent to the Columbiana County until his Sept. 25 court date. It was discovered he also had a warrant for OVI out of Geauga County.
-- An officer spoke with a female on Sept. 24 at 1:05 p.m. who said she wanted to file a report in regard to a protection order violation.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West 4th Street on Sept. 24 at 8:01 a.m. for a report of an alarm going off. The officer upon arrival, discovered it to be a fire alarm and advised dispatch to have the fire department respond. The fire department said the alarm was going off due to a faulty battery and would probably go off again.
-- An officer spoke with a male over the phone on Sept. 24 at 11:30 a.m. regarding his house in the 1100 block of Dodge Street being damaged. The male said he is currently going through a divorce and believes his ex-wife is who caused the damaged.
-- Officers responded to a female who woke up in the woods and needed an ambulance on Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. The female said she doesn't know how she got there. She was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
-- Officers responded on Sept. 24 at 12:25 p.m. to the 100 block of West 6th Street for a report of someone sleeping in a carport. Officers made contact with a female who said she laid down there due to it raining. Officers told her it wasn't raining at that time and to move along. She was offered assistance at the shelter but denied it.
-- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 24 at 1:26 a.m. to the 1100 block of Dodge Street in reference to a civil issue. A male called and said his soon-to-be ex-wife was at the house taking property. Officers arrived and explained to both parties that because they are married the property is considered joint property and the issue would have to be handled in civil court.
-- Officers responded on Sept. 24 at 5:18 a.m. to the 1000 block of Ambrose Avenue after a male caller reported that two females were causing problems at his residence. The officer arrived and saw the male with the two females who took off running when they saw the cruiser. The officers spotted the females several more times, but they took off running each time.
-- An officer spoke with a male caller on Sept. 24 at 6:41 a.m. who reported his girlfriend's car was parked in a lot on Harding Avenue and someone threw white paint all over the windshield sometime during the night.
-- Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of Grant Street on Sept. 24 at 1:59 a.m. for a domestic dispute. The female caller said that when she got home her boyfriend locked her out of the house. Officers were able to gain entry into the residence.
