St. Clair Township

-- An officer spoke with a female by phone Aug. 12 at 7:10 p.m. The female wanted to file a report of harassment by her soon-to-be ex-husband who was threatening to make things worse and contact her job. She also said the sheriff's office had been trying unsuccessfully to serve him with a protection order.

-- An officer was dispatched to the Sheetz station on state Route 170 Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. for a one-vehicle accident. NorthStar Ambulance was also on scene. The driver, identified as Clyde Hunt, 52, address not provided, said he had fallen asleep at the wheel on his way home from work. Hunt, who had visible injuries and an active warrant, was served a citation for driving under suspension and failure to control and transported to the hospital where he was advised not to leave as he was under arrest. Hospital staff was notified to contact officers when he was discharged so he could be transported to the county jail.

-- A patrolman stopped a motorcycle on Y & O Road Aug. 13 at 3:11 p.m. due to the plate not being registered to any vehicle. The driver, Michael Merriman, age and address not provided, who was driving under a license suspension, admitted the plates did not belong on that motorcycle. Merriman was cited for fictitious plates.

-- A patrolman stopped a motorcycle on Y & O Road Aug. 13 at 8:33 p.m. for a traffic violation. Dreyvan Walton, age and address not provided, was cited for operating a vehicle with no license and failure to signal.

-- A patrolman conducted a traffic stop on Maple Lane Aug. 13 at 2:35 p.m. The driver, who was not identified, did not have a valid driver's license. The vehicle was towed by Calcutta Towing.

-- Officers responded Aug. 14 at 6:42 p.m. to a fight in progress at PNC Bank on St. Clair Avenue. Officers arrived to see two males matching the description they were provided running from the scene. Officers stopped them. Zachary Young, age and address not provided, was given a warning for obstructing and released from the scene. Jody Steven, age and address not provided, was cited for disorderly intoxication and picked up from the police department. Robert Buckley, age and address not provided, was transported to the Columbiana County Jail for his active warrant and issued a citation for disorderly by intoxication.

-- An officer checked a property in the 48000 block of Bloomfield Avenue for a female trespasser Aug. 17 at 9:34 p.m.

-- An officer on patrol on Annesley Road Aug. 21 at 9:52 p.m. conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle with no plate who he observed accelerate at a high rate of speed and almost crash at the intersection of state Route 267 and Annesley Road. The officer observed the motorcycle reach speeds of 70 mph before the driver, identified as Gavin Quigg, 20, address not provided, lost control and laid the motorcycle down. Quigg was arrested for fleeing.

-- Officers responded to Aldis on state Route 170 Aug. 21 at 7:20 p.m. for a domestic in progress. Steven Malcomson, 26, address not provided, was cited for disorderly conduct.

-- An officer conducted a traffic stop Aug. 23 at 7:07 p.m. on Dresden Avenue after running a plate and finding the registered owner, Sarah Graham, 20, address not provided, had a suspended license. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle after detecting the odor of marijuana and found suspected narcotics and paraphernalia on Graham and on the passenger side of the car. Both Graham and her passenger, Dustin Andrews, 25, address not provided, were placed under arrest. Andrews had outstanding warrants. Both were charged with drug paraphernalia and Graham was cited for driving under suspension.

-- Officers responded Aug. 24 at 8:23 p.m. to a report of a suspicious female leaving Sheetz and driving across state Route 170 at a high rate of speed. The caller was worried about comments made by the driver that people were going to shoot up the town. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at state Route 170 and Dresden Avenue. The driver was taken to the East Liverpool hospital for a mental health evaluation.

-- An officer Aug. 29 at 6:07 p.m. conducted a traffic stop on Y&O Road after observing a vehicle being driven with a defective exhaust and a tire with very low air. The driver, identified as Curtis Jackson, 41, said he did not have a valid license. After consenting to a search, Jackson said he had marijuana paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Jackson was issued a citation for no license, defective exhaust, unsafe vehicle and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

East Liverpool

-- Officers responded to the 2200 block of Michigan Street Aug. 2 at 6:59 p.m. for a report on drug dealing. No drug activity was found.

-- Officers responded to a possible domestic report on Dresden Avenue Aug. 2 at 8:41 p.m. Officers did not find anything on their arrival.

-- Officers Aug. 2 at 12:27 p.m. were removing debris from the roadway on Lisbon Street when a driver drove around the bend and had to skid to a stop. Officers checked and verified a valid license and gave the driver a warning and advised him to pay more attention.

-- Dispatch was notified by Lifeteam EMS Aug. 2 at 11:49 p.m. that they had received a private call from a residence in the 300 block of Wilbert Avenue regarding a person who was burned. The caller claimed they were playing with alcohol and a fire broke out injuring someone, but the fire was out. East Liverpool Fire Department was notified to respond with Lifeteam. There was no fire and Lifeteam transported one person.

-- An officer spoke Aug. 2 at 1:37 a.m. to the mother of a juvenile patient in the emergency room who wanted to report that she received unsatisfactory care from the hospital staff.

-- Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Riley Avenue Aug. 2 at 6:56 p.m. for a report of an abandoned house being vandalized. The caller reported multiple teenage boys were messing with the side door and one went in. Officers arrived and made contact with one of the boys who said he did not go into the home or participate in the spray painting. The officer went inside the house and saw the words "cops" and "will" spray painted. Neighbors were advised to call if they see the teens return.

-- Officers responded Aug. 2 at 1:27 a.m. to the 300 block of Blakely Street for a possible domestic. Upon arrival, officers learned that the caller was misled to believe a domestic occurred. Further investigation revealed the disturbance was a love triangle.

-- Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity on McKinnon Avenue Aug. 2 at 10:42 a.m. A male was reported to be walking around with no shirt on mumbling to himself. Officers found Joseph Quinn, 21, address not provided, and took him into custody for an active warrant.

-- Officers spoke to a female Aug. 2 at 10:27 a.m. regarding her son who was riding his bike on Avondale Street and was struck by a truck which then fled the scene. Officers reviewed camera footage after the story didn't check out and it was revealed that the juvenile said he was not hit, that he just wrecked his bike in the storm drain.
