LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Oct. 2 for Sarah Graham, East Main Street, East Palestine, charged with fifth-degree felony possession of drugs for allegedly possessing a loaded hypodermic syringe that contained methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl and xylazine on June 21 in East Palestine.
A pretrial was set Oct. 2 for Dwayne Champney, 49, Lisbon Canfield Road, Salem, charged with aggravated menacing, aggravated trespass and two counts domestic violence for an incident Sept. 20 when he allegedly trespassed on a Lisbon Road property, threatened a man and was causing physical harm to two women.
A pretrial was set Jan. 8 for Michael Borkowski, Canonsburg, Pa., charged with possessing criminal tools, engaging in prostitution, possession of drug abuse instrument and drug paraphernalia for allegedly responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranged to have sexual activity with a female in exchange for money and methamphetamine, arriving in East Palestine on Sept. 21 for the meeting in possession of a loaded hypodermic needle, a digital scale, crack cocaine and meth pipes and baggies of suspected meth.
Christopher Hightower, 41, West Seventh Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 25 days served, for theft, possession of drug abuse instruments and two counts obstructing official business for telling police no one was inside his residence East Liverpool after they received a report about someone attacking him with a machete on March 16, but then two women were found hiding inside a closet, both with active warrants. He also possessed what police described as a plethora of hypodermic needles in almost every room of his house that appeared uncapped and used. The theft charge stemmed from Hightower allegedly concealing $66 worth of merchandise in his pants at Family Dollar on Walnut Street, East Liverpool on March 4. One of the obstruction charges stemmed from him running from police who attempted to apprehend him on a warrant in East Liverpool on March 18. He was also fined $100 and sentenced to two days in jail, with credit for two days served, for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for possessing a glass pipe in his pocket after being taken to East Liverpool City Hospital following an assault on March 16.
A pretrial was set Jan. 9 for Sean Hutton, 34, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, charged with falsification for allegedly reporting to East Palestine police on Sept. 10 that someone entered his home while he was sleeping and stole his phone and car keys, then stole his vehicle from the driveway, but later admitted he crashed the vehicle the previous night in Darlington Township, Pa.
A pretrial was set Dec. 11 for Dennis Dawson, 48, Wintersville, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, OVI above .961 plasma first offense and marked lanes.
Alecia O'Hanlon, 37, Dunn Road, East Liverpool, was fined $215 for driving under suspension, speeding and no seat belt.
A pretrial was set Jan. 9 for Michael Kassander, 31, Warren, charged with driving under suspension and speeding.
A charge of no license was dismissed against Dakota Stockman, 29, state Route 154, Elkton.
Maria Arcuragi, 30, Hill Boulevard, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for speeding.
A pretrial was set Jan. 8 for Perry Emmanuel Wells, 45, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with improper/expired registration and obstructing official business for allegedly jumping out of his car during a traffic stop and running inside a residence on Sept. 13 in St. Clair Township.
Stacey Casanta, 50, South Main Street, Columbiana, was fined $150 for possessing marijuana.
A pretrial was set Jan. 4 for Ross Aaron Chaplow, 41, Metz Road, Columbiana, charged with driving under 12-point suspension.
A pretrial was set Dec. 19 for Karen Brightwell, 61, East Main Street, East Palestine, charged with driving under suspension.
Travis Bragg, 25, East Fifth Street, Salem, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set Dec. 14 for Brandy Yerges, 45, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, charged with speeding.
Douglas Roe, 28, Mary Street, East Liverpool, was fined $30 for loud exhaust.
