LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Curtis Gearhart, 39, Pine Hollow Road, Lisbon, was bound over to the county grand jury for a third-degree felony charge of tampering with evidence for allegedly attempting to delete the contents of his phone which had been taken into evidence by police after an overdose incident on May 7 in Lisbon.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Sept. 14 for Lauren Paterson, 44, Beacon Light Road, Lisbon, charged with fifth-degree felony improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors of illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense, operating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and marked lanes. Paterson on Aug. 10 during a traffic stop allegedly possessed marijuana paraphernalia, a prescription bottle with a pill and a snort straw, along with a firearm.
A pretrial was set Oct. 30 for Cubanola Martin, 69, 14th Street, Wellsville, charged with aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and obstructing official business for allegedly not stopping when officers activated their overhead lights for a traffic stop, then stopped, getting out of the car and starting to walk away. When placed under arrest, he was pulling his hands away and yelling he was going to kill the officers on Aug. 8 in Wellsville.
A pretrial was set Oct. 31 for George H. Barb, 44, Woodstock, Va., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual conduct with a female in exchange for money, then arriving in East Palestine on July 26 for the meeting.
A pretrial was set Aug. 21 for Tomas Alonzo, 37, North Broadway Avenue, Salem, charged with falsification and domestic violence for allegedly pulling a woman's hair on July 27 in Salem and for giving a wrong name during an incident in Salem on Aug. 10.
A pretrial was set Aug. 31 for Charles Gough, 24, West Washington Street, Lisbon, charged with assault for allegedly throwing a man into a vehicle and striking him multiple times on May 2 in Lisbon.
A pretrial was set Nov. 13 for Ethan Boyd, 26, Cream Ridge Road, Lisbon, charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting on his own property and being disorderly on Aug. 6 after being told not to be disorderly.
A pretrial was set Nov. 9 for James Wilkes, 48, Stagecoach Road, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business and reasonable control for allegedly lying to police at an accident scene, claiming his "buddy" was driving his car and fled, but evidence allegedly showed Wilkes was the driver.
A pretrial was set Aug. 21 for Dylan Walsh, 22, Lacroft Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with obstructing official business, resisting arrest, no valid license, reckless operation and three counts driving under suspension. Walsh allegedly provided two false social security numbers after claiming he didn't have his driver's license with him, then gave his name and date of birth, but fled the vehicle after a traffic stop on June 15 in Liverpool Township.
A pretrial was set Aug. 21 for Thomas Dennis, 44, East Fifth Street, East Liverpool, charged for domestic violence for allegedly assaulting a juvenile by punching her in the back of the head and back three times on Aug. 11 in East Liverpool.
Justin Baker, 35, Ball Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for disorderly conduct. He was ordered to complete 30 hours community service. Baker was accused of screaming and making verbal threats to neighbors, admitting to a deputy that he had been consuming alcohol on July 25 in Yellow Creek Township.
Joni Lynn McDole, 30, Maplewood Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 and sentenced to six days in jail, with credit for six days served, for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for possessing a meth pipe during a traffic stop on Aug. 2 in Liverpool Township.
A pretrial was set Nov. 13 for Devon Leroy David Taylor, 22, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for 36 items totaling $113 at the Calcutta Walmart on Aug. 4.
A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Robert Cornman, 55, Dodge Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a burnt pipe with residue while a passenger during a traffic stop on July 26 in St. Clair Township.
Samantha Gallimore, 34, Pancake Clarkson Road, Rogers, was fined $200 and sentenced to five days in jail, with credit for five days served, for possession of drug abuse instruments for possessing an uncapped syringe, bottle cap with residue, small spoon with residue, and a clear container with a white rock substance inside on March 10 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Nov. 9 for Dylan Davis, 36, Main Street, Leetonia, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and turn signal violation.
Logan Snay, 23, Second Street, Hanoverton, was fined $895 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 135 days suspended and credit for 30 days electronically monitored house arrest, leaving 15 days to serve in jail, for OVI and speeding, with his driver's license suspended for two years. A charge of no motorcycle endorsement was dismissed.
A pretrial was set Aug. 22 for Matthew Runkles, 37, East Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with speeding and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A pretrial was set Oct. 24 for Derrick Hooper, 41, Youngstown, charged with driving under suspension and speeding.
A pretrial was set Nov. 9 for Zachary Harden, 19, Sherman Street, Lisbon, charged with no valid license and reasonable control.
A pretrial was set Oct. 19 for Timothy Deily, 46, Allendale Avenue, New Waterford, charged with OVI first offense and tail lights.
Zachary Tice, 30, Cleveland Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and expired registration.
Terry Fone, 55, Holiday Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for reckless operation, amended from OVI first offense.
Humberto Miguel Marcos, 22, East Third Street, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Tyrin Howell, 19, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Larry David Scott, 42, Alice Street, East Palestine, was fined $210 for reasonable control, driving under suspension and two counts no seat belt.
Kenneth Smith, 39, Louisville Street, Homeworth, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Gavin Maze, 18, Highland Colony Street, East Liverpool, was fined $50 for speeding, after a court trial.
