LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set April 6 for Alfred Thompson, 41, Salem-Alliance Road, Salem, charged with fourth-degree felony domestic violence for allegedly causing intentional physical harm to a juvenile on March 21 and 25, with the arrest taking place March 28 when the juvenile didn’t show up for school and school officials requested a welfare check. Bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety and Thompson was ordered to have no contact with the juvenile victim.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set April 6 for Kolton J. Smith, 25, Winona Road, Salem, charged with two counts of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, along with misdemeanors of assault and obstructing official business, for allegedly causing physical harm to two victims during a domestic in Perry Township on March 29, and causing harm to a third person who responded to help the victims. Smith then fled.

A pretrial was set June 20 for Almondo Lopez, 40, Atlantic City, N.J., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging to have sexual activity with a female in exchange for $100, then traveling to East Palestine on March 28 for the meeting.

A pretrial was set June 20 for Jason Wooden, 51, Orrville, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent in exchange for $150 and driving to Salem on March 29 for the meeting.

A sentencing hearing was set April 13 for Robert Bebout, 42, state Route 45, Lisbon, who pleaded no contest to engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. Bebout responded to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranged to have sexual activity with a female in exchange for $100, then traveled to East Palestine on March 15 to pick up the female to take back to his residence, but was met by police instead. He had a juvenile in the vehicle with him.

A pretrial was set June 1 for Guy Sutton, 50, Hobart, Ind., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly answering an ad on a known prostitution website of a female and arranging for sexual activity with the female in exchange for $180. He also agreed to bring THC narcotics and traveled March 29 to East Palestine for the meeting. The narcotics were seized by the county drug task force.

Jason Lopez, 42, Houston, Texas, was fined $500 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for possessing criminal tools and disorderly conduct, amended from engaging in prostitution. He was permitted to buy out 40 hours community service. Lopez responded to an undercover online ad on a known prostitution website for a female escort and arrived in East Palestine on Jan. 8 for the meeting.

A pretrial was set June 1 for Sue Leclerc, 40, East Fifth Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pointing a firearm, later identified as a pellet gun, at a man after a verbal altercation in Salem on Nov. 9, 2022.

A pretrial was set April 20 for Austin Young, 28, McCoy Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension, criminal damaging and obstructing official business for allegedly damaging a woman’s vehicle and fleeing the scene on Feb. 4 on Mick Road, Wellsville.

Angela Pascuzzi, 40, Old Fredericktown Road, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 179 days suspended and credit for one day served, for menacing, amended from menacing by stalking, and offenses involving underage persons. Another menacing charge was dismissed. She was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. Pascuzzi was accused of threatening a woman and her children on July 19, 2021 and hosting a party at her residence on Aug. 27, 2022 when underage persons were consuming alcohol

Alexes Marie Jackson, 21, Claibourne Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for theft. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and stay out of Calcutta Walmart where on Jan. 5 she failed to scan and pay for $133 worth of items.

Bradley Minard, 52, state Route 9, Kensington, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 29 days suspended and credit for one day served, for disorderly conduct, amended from assault, for grabbing a person around the neck and forcing him against the wall on Dec. 26 in Hanover Township.

A pretrial was set April 6 for James Mackim, 30, listed as homeless, Canton, charged with obstructing justice for allegedly fleeing into a wooded area at Knox School Road and Hartley Road after running from deputies investigating a reported burglary on March 27.

A pretrial was set May 2 for Megan Rohbeck, 23, Garfield Street, East Liverpool, charged with five counts of failure to pay city income tax for East Liverpool from 2018 through 2022.

Michael Allen Howard, 37, Youngstown, was fined $100 and sentenced to four days in jail, with credit for four days served, for possession of drug abuse instrument for possessing a hypodermic needle loaded with a liquid substance on March 26.

A pretrial was set June 6 for Tara Lynn Montgomery, 22, Toronto, charged with theft and three counts of speeding for alleged speeding tickets in January, February and March and failing to scan and pay for $71 worth of items on March 23 at the Calcutta Walmart.

Charges of unlawful restraint and two counts of assault were dismissed for David J. Young, 45, Bloomfield Avenue, East Liverpool, with the prosecution noting the victim was uncooperative. The charges stemmed from alleged incident in March 20, 2022 and June 7, 2022.

A pretrial was set June 8 for Derrick Nixon, 37, Fort Washington, Pa., charged with criminal trespass for allegedly going to an East Palestine residence on March 28 after being told previously by a police officer to not return.

Larry J. Perry, 68, Main Street, Leetonia, was fined $200 for criminal mischief for taking rocks and a steel post belonging to Steve Harrold and throwing them into the driveway of Harrold’s business, Steve’s Towing, on Main Street, Leetonia on Feb. 12.

A charge of aggravated menacing was dismissed for Laci Tomalka, 23, South Elm Street, Columbiana, who agreed to pay court costs. Tomalka allegedly threatened to shoot out another woman’s windows on April 9, 2022 in Columbiana.

A pretrial was set April 18 for Cody Hancock, 38, Canton, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a meth pipe on Oct. 7, 2021 in Columbiana.

A sentencing hearing was set April 11 for Mark McCartney, 55, West Pidgeon Road, Salem, who pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs first offense and lighted lights required.

John Deem, 29, Ray Street, East Liverpool, was fined $250 for no license and expired registration.

Lawrence Davis, 43, Canfield, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding.

Rancy Martinez, 33, St. George Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for an equipment violation, amended from marked lanes.

A charge of failure to display valid sticker was dismissed for Aleece Thompson, 28, St. George Street, East Liverpool.
