--Deputies responded to the 18000 block of state Route 644 in Washington Township at 3:01 a.m. Wednesday for a report of possible prowlers. The residence and out buildings were secure, with no evidence of anyone being in the yard or around the residence. The resident left before deputies arrived.

-- Hunter T. Cosgrove, 19, state Route 45, Lisbon, was charged with assault, resisting arrest, underage consumption and possession, menacing and menacing a police officer after officers responded to a North Market Street business at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday where he was allegedly harassing customers while intoxicated and punched a man who had assisted him to leave at the request of employees. Cosgrove was irate and refused to comply with officers, resisting arrest and making threats of physical harm toward them.
-- An East Pine Street Extension resident reported income tax fraud at 11:0 5 a.m. Monday in which someone filed a tax return in her name.
