Columbiana County Sheriff's Office
-- Deputies were dispatched at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday to Tower Ventures, Steubenville Pike Road, Center Township, for people trespassing, but no one was found.
-- A 911 hangup call was reported at 4:55 p.m. Monday in the 22000 block of Georgetown Road, Knox Township, but nothing was found.
-- Deputies were unable to make contact with anyone at a residence on state Route 45, Salem Township, at 3:32 p.m. Sept. 23 after being requested by Lisbon police to contact a man at the property.
-- Deputies at 7:35 p.m. Sept. 21 assisted Leetonia police on a traffic stop on state Route 344 at Industry Road, Leetonia. Columbiana police also responded.
-- An ATV complaint was reported at 4:04 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 48000 block of Metz Road in Unity Township, but no ATV was found.
-- A reckless driver was reported at 4:02 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 7400 block of Lisbon Road, Center Township, but no one was found.
-- A man on state Route 558, Salem Township reported Sept. 20 that his two neighbors, a male and female, were at his residence and he wanted them removed. A deputy spoke with the female, who was back on her property, and told her to stay off of the man's property.
East Liverpool
-- Officers responded on Sept. 21 to a call of a dog not belonging to the resident in the fenced yard of a May Street residence. The resident told officers the dog became aggressive toward him. An unknown neighbor took the dog from the fenced yard and supposedly returned it to the owner. At this time, the officer has no information about the person who took the animal.
-- On Sept. 21, Pat King, the owner of First-Class Towing, came on station to report that he towed a vehicle from St. Claire Avenue and noticed that the ignition on the vehicle was damaged and had been prior to him picking it up. Upon looking inside the vehicle, a silver 2007 Dodge Ram, the officer noted that the ignition was in fact damaged and that the rest of the vehicle was in overall poor condition. King said that he just wanted a report on file should the owner of the vehicle attempt to say that he or his company caused the damage.
-- On Sept.21 police were called to an Illinois Street residence for a report of an open front window. Officers checked the perimeter of the residence and found no open or damaged doors. Attempts were made to secure the front window with negative results.
-- On Sept. 21 officers were dispatched to Fawcett Apartments for a report of a missing juvenile. Upon arrival, the juvenile agreed to return home to her father and was courtesy transported by police to ensure she returned home.
-- On Sept. 21 officers responded to a report of domestic violence at a Wilbert Avenue residence. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female victim who described her relationship with the male suspect as the father of her 3-month-old son. The suspect did knowingly cause imminent harm to the victim by threat. The victim stated that the suspect sent her photographs through text messaging of him brandishing a pistol. She also stated that she is in fear for her life and believes he would attempt to cause physical harm to her.
-- Officers responded on Sept. 21 to a disturbance call at a Mapletree Road residence. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject and his 13-year-old daughter. The daughter was transported to the East Liverpool City Hospital for an evaluation.
-- On Sept. 21 officers were sent to a Jackman Street residence for a report of a missing juvenile. Descriptions were obtained and ultimately the mother was reunited with her juvenile son minutes after the officer's arrival.
-- On Sept. 21 officers responded to East Liverpool City Hospital for a report that staff had discovered suspected drugs on a patient. Upon arriving at the hospital, officers were directed to the operating room area where staff members advised that they located what appeared to be drugs after transporting a patient. Staff advised that the items were discovered on a cot after a patient had been transported on it and that the suspected contraband was now with hospital security. The officers then retrieved the items from security.
-- On Sept. 21 officers were called to Rural Lane for a stolen vehicle report. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the intoxicated owner who reported her unsecured car, a 2007 Dodge Caravan, was taken by her sister. The vehicle was returned.
-- Officers talked on Sept. 24 to a person who reported that a junk car had been stolen from his Dresden Avenue property.
Lisbon
-- Officers responded to the Days Inn on state Route 154 for a fire alarm and stood by until the fire department arrived.
-- Steven Chamberlain, 55, Lisbon, was charged with OVI after patrolling officers observed a truck running in the VFW parking lot at 12:12a.m. Sept. 23 and found him to be intoxicated.
-- A woman reported at 9:25 p.m. Sept. 18 she was parked off an alley at West Washington Street and West Park Avenue during the Johnny Appleseed Festival and someone had written Do Not Park on her windshield and driver side window. Officers contacted a resident in the area who admitted to writing the message on the vehicle's windows since it was parked in his yard and that the message was written with a standard marker that will wash off with rubbing alcohol. The woman was advised she was parked on private property and the writing would wash off.
-- Officers responded to a Rose Drive business at 8:31 p.m. Sept. 15 in reference to a woman who had placed items in her purse, paid for other items and left the store. The woman was stopped and she admitted to taking the items she couldn't afford. The business declined to press charged but had the woman trespassed from the property.
-- An officer spoke with a man on the phone at 4:38 p.m. Sept. 14 who was concerned about a fellow car club member on Facebook who had made suicidal comments. Officers were unable to find an address of the man in question.
