Sheriff reports
-- Deputies were called at 12:07 a.m. Saturday for a welfare check on East Liverpool Road in Madison Township, but the female was fine after an argument returning from a concert in Pennsylvania. Both parties said the situation was under control and the argument was verbal only.
-- Cows were reported loose again on Fredericktown-Clarkson Road in Middleton Township at 11:49 a.m. Friday. A deputy spoke with the owner.
-- A deputy on routine patrol at 1:32 a.m. Friday in the Unity area located a man at the Dollar General parking lot on state Route 14 and before being given a courtesy ride, he was found to have two warrants out of Columbiana County Municipal Court for theft. Shawn Beck, 51, was taken into custody and transported to the jail.
-- A caller at 11:16 p.m. Thursday reported someone in a late model white Ford minivan with a black stripe struck a mailbox with a baseball bat on Lusk Lock Road in Elk Run Township. The vehicle turned around and was traveling south towards state Route 154.
-- Deputies were called for suspicious activity on Latta Road, East Palestine at 4:18 a.m. Sept. 7 with a moving truck in the driveway, lights on and the garage door open. The lights were off and door was located.
