St. Clair Township
-- An officer at 12:27 a.m. Friday observed a vehicle on state Route 170 with license plates that did not match the vehicle. The driver, who was not identified, was cited accordingly and the vehicle was towed.
-- Tabitha N. Lively, 40, no address listed, was charged with petty theft and disorderly conduct-intoxication after officers responded to a 15000 block St. Clair Avenue business at 11:52 p.m. July 27 where an employee had seen her take multiple items from several racks and fail to pay for them after already paying for the food the employee had made for her. When confronted by the employee, Lively allegedly removed 19 items totaling $34.91 from her purse. Officers determined by an open container in her possession, plus the odor of alcohol and her behavior that Lively was very intoxicated.
-- Officers responded to a home in the 15000 block of Annesley Road at 11:22 p.m. July 27 in reference to previous residents being there when they were not allowed. Officers spoke with the two people in question, with one of them saying she had talked to the landowner who said she allowed to be there now. Officers were unable to find proof of that and the two people were to leave the area.
-- Officers responded to the 13000 block of Ingles Avenue at 10:43 p.m. July 27 where a resident reported finding a possible breaking and entering when she returned home that day, then later found other items out of place. Officers searched the home and the case is under investigation.
East Liverpool
-- An officer responded to a U.S. Route 30 home at 12:14 p.m. Friday where a resident reported his son had found a gun while doing lawn work. The gun was found to be a toy.
-- Samantha Marie Bottegal, 35, no address listed, was served a summons out of East Liverpool Municipal Court and arrested on an active warrant out of Jefferson County following her discharge from East Liverpool hospital at 12:!4 a.m. Friday.
-- An officer responded to the 300 block of East Eighth Street at 3:29 a.m. July 28 where a woman reported she had been in an argument with her boyfriend and she was moving out. They both said nothing physical had occurred. The officer stood by while the woman's father helped her move her items out of the home and leave.
-- Officers responded to the 1600 block of Alpha Street at 1:43 a.m. July 28 in reference to a fight between juveniles. Officers collected the necessary information to send to juvenile court.
-- Brandon M. Fike, 29, no address listed, was charged with criminal trespass after officers responded to the East Liverpool hospital at 1:14 a.m. July 28 where he had been removed several times in the past and warned about his behavior. Hospital staff had discharged him and he refused to leave, and officers also gave him multiple orders to leave the property which he ignored.
-- Ryan Pritt, no age or address listed, was cited for operating a vehicle without a valid license and fictitious plates following a traffic stop on Dresden Avenue at 12:36 a.m. July 28.
-- A patrolling officer at 12:01 a.m. July 28 observed two people carrying a foam mattress through town. The two people said they are homeless and they retrieved the mattress from a dumpster. They were cleared of warrants and sent on their way.
-- Officers responded to the 1600 block of Alpha Street at 11:24 p.m. July 27 in reference to a dirt bike complaint. The caller identified the person in question and said they heard gunshots coming from the area of his home. Officers checked the home of the person in question, finding the dirt bike on the front porch, but no one would answer the door.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of Wilbert Avenue at 10:34 p.m. July 27 where a resident reported her ex-boyfriend had thrown trash around her apartment and possibly broke one of her security cameras. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the ex-boyfriend.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of Garner Avenue at 9:50 p.m. July 27 in reference to someone in a vacant house. Officers spoke with the person who said his brother owned the property and he was cleaning it up. He was advised the home is condemned and he needed to get permission from the housing department to be there.
-- Ashley D. Walton, 35, no address listed, was served a summons for an unspecified offense at 11:29 a.m. July 27.
-- Harvey Perry, 62, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, was served a summons for failure to file an income tax return at 10:44 a.m. July 27.
-- An officer responded to the 700 block of Fenton Street at 1:08 a.m. July 27 where a caller reported his motorized bicycle was stolen. The bicycle was recovered in Woodland Hills the same morning after officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Wilbert Avenue at 2:36 a.m. in reference to a loud music complaint and found the offending tenant in possession of the vehicle.
-- Officers responded to the East Liverpool hospital at 11:59 p.m. July 26 in reference to an individual refusing to leave after being discharged. Officers spoke with the man, who had done the same thing a week prior, and told him to leave. He was warned if he does this again he will be charged. He was then transported to his apartment.
-- A caller reported at 12:28 a.m. July 26 a cab company would not give him a ride to Wellsville. The company said the caller was not allowed to be transported due to him threatening an employee. Officers then gave the caller a ride to the Florence Street at the caller's request. Officers returned to a Florence Street home at 2:27 a.m. where the caller had been banging on the door of a home where he was not welcome and the resident reported she was in fear for her and her children's safety. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the man.
-- Officers responded to the area of Sophia Street and Daisy Lane at 10:36 p.m. July 25 in reference to a child screaming for help. The caller was unable to tell officers which house it was coming from and officers were unable to find anyone screaming.
-- A Pennsylvania Avenue resident reported at 6:42 p.m. July 25 his son's mother came and took him, saying she was not going to return him despite the resident having full custody. The resident was told to contact police if the mother does not return the juvenile.
-- Officers responded to a lot in the 500 block of College Street at 6:19 p.m. July 25 in reference to a pile of syringes lying on the property. An officer collected the syringes and disposed of them.
-- A patrolling officer at 6:19 p.m. July 25 observed two people fighting in the middle of Walnut Street. Both people fled when officers arrived. Officers checked the area but could not find the two people.
-- Officers responded to Grove Alley at 5:16 p.m. July 25 where a resident reported his neighbor had been outside breaking glass and throwing items, then came toward him with a machete while he was blowing grass off the sidewalk, so he got a baseball bat to protect himself. He said that is when the officers arrived. When contacted the neighbor said the complainant came toward him with the bat blaming him for breaking glass in the alley, so he got a machete to protect himself. Both individuals said they did not want to fill out statements or pursue charges.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Market Street at 3:41 a.m. July 25 in reference to two young girls that broke a fluorescent bulb on the side of a building. The broken glass was observed on Drury Lane. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the juveniles in question.
-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of Oak Street at 1:26 a.m. July 25 in reference to a female juvenile knocking on doors asking for help. Officers checked the Ring doorbell footage of a concerned resident but was unable to identify the person in question. Officers searched the area but were unable to find anyone matching the description.
-- Marcus A. Prendes, 38, Iowa Street, Wellsville, was charged with OVI, failure to control and leaving the scene following a one-vehicle crash at West Eighth Street and Gaston Avenue at 11:31 p.m. July 24 in which he was westbound and veered of the road to the left, crossing two lanes and traveling over a curb, striking a utility pole, shearing it off at the ground. Officers arrived and found Prendes and an unknown passenger had fled the scene toward the river. Prendes was later located in the Jethro Hollow area. No injuries were reported.
