County Sheriff
-- An alarm at the Dollar General in Rogers notified deputies at 1 a.m. Thursday, but the business was found to be secure when deputies arrived and no movement was seen on the security cameras.
-- While checking the area around Twin Oaks trailer park on state Route 45 in Center Township at 2:47 a.m. Friday, deputies found the back door of a trailer to be wide open. Deputies identified themselves as they went up the steps and could hear someone snoring. The occupant awoke and said sometimes the door does not latch.
-- Deputies checking the area around Southern Local High School found a door ajar at 4:25 a.m. Monday, but found no sign of anyone entering the building. The door was then secured.
East Liverpool
-- An East Fifth Street resident reported at 9:53 p.m. April 13 a neighbor across the street yelled threats toward her and she wanted it documented.
-- Officers responded to a 400 block Market Street business at 8:53 p.m. April 13 in reference to a woman using drugs in the bathroom. Officers spoke with the woman in question who was found in good health. Employees said they did not know who would have called police.
St Clair Township
-- An officer responded to the 16000 block of Glenn Street at 1:34 p.m. Saturday where the resident reported his mailbox had been removed.
-- Officers responded to a hotel in the 15000 block of St. Clair Avenue at 12:21 p.m. Saturday in reference to an occupant who had stayed past the check out time and would not answer the door. Officers forced entry and found a known drug user asleep on the bed. Officers woke up the occupant and advised she needed to leave. A search of the room revealed suspected narcotics in several different containers.
-- Officers responded to the 49000 block of Moore Avenue at 5:11 a.m. Saturday in reference to a disturbance. Officers spoke to the people involved and advised them of their options.
Wellsville Police
-- Police responded to a Center Street address at 9:17 p.m., April 1, where a woman reported she was threatened to be stabbed and shot. Another woman reported she saw her son nearly get stabbed by the same man, but by the time she got over there people were on the steps and everyone was arguing. The son told police he was standing near the first woman's house when the man pulled a knife on him, but ran when other people threatened to beat him. The son's sister said during the arguing someone threatened to shoot up her house and to hurt her personally.
-- Police stopped a dark sedan on April 4 after reportedly clocking it at 39 mph in a 25-mph zone in the area of Floors by George. Before the police officer even asked for the man's license and registration, he began yelling that he was tired of them pulling him over and claimed he was on the highway at the time. The officer explained the area where he was running the radar was a 25-mph zone and not on the highway yet. Fred Joy was cited with expired license, speeding and failing to wear his seat belt.
-- A domestic dispute was reported at Independence Square at 4 p.m. March 23. A woman claimed it was only an argument and the man said they had been arguing all day regarding the baby. Another woman said she had tripped and was not pushed by the man and declined to prosecute him.
-- On April 4, a man reported $22,500 was stolen from his savings account, which he said he had opened after his old account was hacked. He logged in online and found $22,500 taken from the account on April 1. The first time they took $19,500. Police spoke to Huntington Bank, who locked the online account and opened a dispute on the transaction.
-- An alarm at Pep's Mini Mart at 8:21 p.m. March 28 brought police, who found two men arguing when they arrived. One man told police the other man threatened to beat his 16-year-old daughter up and him as well, so he went to Pep's to confront him. The man who works at Pep's said the other man spit in his face after he denied threatening to hit his daughter. He said the father also told him he was going to smash his face in. A witness described what was said and said he did not see the father spit in the other employee's face. The father was told to leave and not return for the rest of the night.
