COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL

LISBON -- In county Municipal Court, Samson A. Crowl, 38, Cherry Street, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of tampering with evidence, possession of drug abuse instruments and obstructing official business for allegedly refusing to walk to the cruiser, walking away and reaching into his pocket when he was ordered to keep his hands visible, then tossing a hypodermic syringe.

Lejit Marcell Smith, 36, Canton, was fined $1,475, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 20 hours community service for OVI first offense, speeding, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle for having a 9-millimeter handgun and a magazine with five rounds.

Jonathan S. Doyle, 32, Youngstown, was sentenced to three days in jail, fined $850 and had his license suspended for two years for OVI first offense amended from second offense, driving under OVI suspension and marked lanes. Another driving under OVI suspension was dismissed.

Levi Birch, 24, Columbiana-Waterford Road, Columbiana, was fined $1,000 and required 40 hours community service for aggravated menacing and assault amended from domestic violence. Birch had injured his father's right hand with a knife on Feb. 15 and threatened to stab him if he called police.

Randall Jay Fegert, 58, East Fourth Street, Salem, was sentenced to 15 days in jail, ordered 55 days of electronically monitored house arrest, fined $1,250, had his license suspended for five years and required 40 hours community service for OVI third offense, driving under suspension, left of center and endangering children for having a 14-year-old boy in the vehicle while he was intoxicated on Feb. 5, 2021, when he reportedly nearly caused a head-on collision with another vehicle.

Tyler E. Wells, 33, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, was bound over to the grand jury on a charge of obstructing official business and domestic violence. On April 16, Wells allegedly pushed Nancy Piper into the bathroom and choked her, while she was nine-weeks pregnant with his child and then told deputies the keys to PiperÌs vehicle were under the seat, when they were later found under the vehicle.

Cale A. Armstrong, 30, Juniper Drive, Columbiana, was fined $1,115, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense, left of center, possession of paraphernalia and open container. A marijuana possession charge was dismissed.

Austin William Kimmell, 23, state Route 165, East Palestine, was fined $1,015, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for possession of marijuana, failure to control and physical control amended from OVI first offense.

An assault of a police officer charge was dismissed against Rose Eichler, 43, Rose Drive, Lisbon, who had been accused of striking a deputy in the face on March 6. The decision to dismiss the charge came after the results of a competency evaluation was received.

Korey A. Barr, 26, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, was fined $915, had his license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 40 hours community service for OVI first offense and left of center.

A May 2 pretrial was set for Justin M. Martin, 39, state Route 267, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly taking the laptop and phone of his ex-girlfriend Kirsten Burbick when there was a no contact order in place and threatened to kill her on March 30.

A May 17 sentencing hearing was set for Matthew S. Lewis, 38, state Route 14, Columbiana, who pleaded no contest to engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools, both misdemeanors. Lewis offered an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for either $80 for half and hour or $140 for a full hour, before stopping at the ATM in East Palestine to withdraw $100 before arriving at the designated meeting location on Sunday.

A June 9 pretrial was set for Anton D. Travick, 42, Canton, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools for allegedly offering $180 in exchange for sexual activity with someone he believed to be a prostitute on Sunday.

A May 5 sentencing hearing was set for Geoffrey Lynn Kale, 50, Youngstown, who pleaded no contest with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. On April 7, Kale arranged for sex in exchange for $160.

A June 7 pretrial was set for Tricia a. Watson, 38, Fourth Street, Lisbon, charged with aggravated menacing after allegedly threatening to kill Sarah Jackson on Aug. 31, 2021.

Allison Lauren Heverly, 21, South Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, was fined $975, had her license suspended for a year, required to attend a three-day counseling program and ordered 20 hours community service for OVI first offense and left of center

Robert James OÌMalley, 24, Youngstown, was fined $450 for possession of marijuana, expired plates and speeding. Citations of no motorcycle endorsement and improper passing were dismissed.

An aggravated menacing charge against Dorrell J. McNeil, 35, Newburgh Heights, was dismissed. McNeil had been accused of sending a threatening text message that he was going to shoot up a womanÌs home on East Ninth Street in Salem on Sept. 1.

Shelly Burt, 32, state Route 517, Columbiana, was fined $450 and required 20 hours community service for tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments for a metal crack pipe with residue and attempting to hide a syringe on the floor of the police cruiser on Feb. 2.

Joseph D. Meek, 24, Erwin, Tenn., was fined $400, credited with eight days in jail and required 20 hours community service for improper use of 911 and obstructing official business. On April 17, Salem police responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of West 16th Street. Meek refused to get out of the vehicle when requested by police, instead calling 911 to verify the officers were real officers. The 911 call went first to Boardman police, then the Columbiana County SheriffÌs Office and finally to the Salem police.

Danielle N. Stanley, 33, East Ninth Street, Salem, was fined $250, credited with 10 days in jail and required 20 hours community service for theft and disorderly conduct for taking a pair of shoes delivered to Kimberly Pollock on March 23, 2021, and wearing them without her permission.

Kelly M. Reed, 32, Sunset Drive, Wellsville, was fined $250, credited with 30 days served in jail and required 20 hours community service for falsification for giving deputies a false name and Social Security number on Jan. 9.

Chase M. Hoperich, 25, Somerset Drive, Salem, was fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from obstructing official business for hiding a bag of suspected marijuana and a glass narcotics pipe in a trash can while members of the Columbiana County Drug Task Force were entering the home on Jan. 5.

Dezahrae Renee Bostick, 32, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

An April 26 pretrial was set for Mark A. Razo, 38, Canfield, cited with driving under suspension.

Faith Lashae Campbell, 23, Youngstown, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana.

Allison Leemasters, 21, Malone Road, Salineville, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.

A driving under suspension against Christopher Austin Alexander Asher, 24, Market Street, Salineville, was dismissed.

Andre Owens, 23, Warren, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana

Jordan S. Hart, 25, Depot Road, Lisbon, was fined $100 for speeding

Abdelkarim Alnizami, 75, Youngstown, was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
