COLUMBIANA COUNTY COURT NEWS
LISBON -- David Glenn Muntean, 41, Raley Road, New Waterford, was found guilty to of violating a temporary protection order, a fifth-degree felony, following a trial direct to Judge Megan Bickerton. Sentencing is set for April 22. Muntean admitted on the stand to contacting his son and leaving a voicemail on Jan. 11., when he said he did not believe his probation terms from another conviction on Jan. 10, included no contact order with his son.
EAST LIVERPOOL MUNICIPAL
LISBON -- An April 14 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Yousef Brahimi, 35, Main Street, Leetonia, charged with domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly shoving Sheryl L. Summers, knocking her to the ground and knocking the glasses off her face on Thursday.
Zachary W. Bean, 27, Lincoln Street, East Liverpool, was fined $750, required 20 hours community service and ordered to take a 12-hour course for engaging in prostitution and criminal tools. Bean had responded to an advertisement placed by an undercover agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force, arranging for sexual activity in exchange for $60 on Thursday.
A May 26 pretrial was set for Jeffrey Michael Gallo, 46, Huston Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools, after allegedly making arrangements with an undercover officer with the MVHTTF for sexual activity in exchange for $40 on March 25.
A June 14 pretrial was set for Christian Christopher Mackey, Conneaut, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly requesting sex from someone undercover with the MVHTTF in exchange for $200 on March 25.
An April 18 pretrial was set for Jordan L. Smeltzer, 35, Ohio Avenue, Salem, charged with assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting at Fernangle's Tavern, South Broadway, Salem, on Thursday.
A June 23 pretrial was set for Lauren Louise Hack Humphreys, 35, Cook Road, Columbiana, cited with OVI first offense, marked lanes and left of center.
A May 26 pretrial was set for Dustin S. Andric, 38, St. Jacob Logtown Road, Lisbon, cited with OVI first offense, reckless operation and a seat belt violation.
A June 16 pretrial was set for Dawn R. Remish, 47, Germantown Road, Columbiana, cited with OVI first offense and marked lanes.
A June 23 pretrial was set for Mitchell Lee Soules, 32, Elberton Avenue, Salem, cited with OVI first offense and left of center.
Eric J. Ream, 45, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $350 and credited with 14 days in jail for falsification for giving law enforcement his brother's name and Social Security number during a traffic stop in Perry Township on Dec. 3, 2020. Ream was also found in violation of his prior convictions of driving under OVI suspension, furnishing false information, loud exhaust, obstructing official business and possession of marijuana.
Raul J. Perez, 45, Orlando, Fla. was fined $200 for driving under suspension.
A May 31 pretrial was set for Tiffany A. Clarkson, 41, Fairfield Avenue, Columbiana, charged with sale of tobacco products to a person under the age of 21 for allegedly selling Jule pods to a 19-year-old undercover person at Mac's Convenience store on March 21.
A June 7 pretrial was set for Stacey Lyn Casanta, 48, South Main Street, Columbiana, charged with sale of tobacco products to a person under the age of 21 for allegedly selling an undercover 19-year-old Marlboros on March 21 at A and L Gas LLC.
Jonas A. Newton, 21, Union Street, Columbiana, was fined $200 for sale of tobacco products to a person under the age of 21 for selling Marlboro Lights to a 19-year-old person working undercover on March 21 at the Tic Toc Food Mart in Columbiana.
Mario Joseph Ashkar, 33, Sagamore Hills, was fined $50 for speeding. A June 16 pretrial was set for Ashkar for charges of obstructing official business and possession of marijuana, after Ashkar allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle when he was ordered to so the vehicle could be searched during a traffic stop on Thursday.
Jaimie L. Black, 45, Edinburg, Pa., was fined $150 for driving under suspension.
Marcus Zane Reed, 19, Nittany Drive, Summitville, was fined $150 for possession of marijuana.
A June 23 pretrial was set for Arora M. Collins, 40, San Diego, Calif., cited with speeding and failure to display a valid sticker.
Timothy J. Johnson, 41, Roller Coaster Road, Lisbon, was fined $1,440, had his license suspended for a year and sentenced to 114 days in jail with credit for 20 already served for two counts of OVI first offense, failure to control, failure to comply, a turn signal violation, driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia for having a glass crack pipe in the front pocket of his pants on Sept. 16. Charges of a seat belt violation, resisting arrest, reckless operation, speeding and failure to comply for fleeing from police was dismissed.
EAST LIVERPOOL MUNICIPAL
EAST LIVERPOOL -- In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Kenneth R. Taylor, 43, Avondale Street, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for using weapons while intoxicated for firing off a few rounds into the ground from a handgun when he had been drinking on March 27.
A May 3 pretrial was set for Steven S. Summers, 46, Vale Street, cited with drug paraphernalia for having a silver pipe commonly used to smoke crack, along with a white plastic tube containing a rock substance believed to be crack cocaine on April 1.
A June 9 pretrial was set for Dianna L. Haney, 63, Boyd Street, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan five items totaling $52 at the Calcutta Walmart on April 2.
A June 9 pretrial was set for Aaron S. McDole, 42, Minerva Street, cited with no license and fictitious plates.
Elaine F. Austin, 53, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $200 and required 20 hours community service for no license and improper registration.
Warren J. Farrior, 64, Blackville, W.Va., was fined $60 for a turn signal violation and marked lanes. An unsafe vehicle citation was dismissed.
The following failed to appear: William S. Santimarino, 33, Hammondsville, cited with driving under suspension; Jacob D. Blystone, 22, Penn Avenue, driving under suspension and speeding; and James P. Godfrey, 54, Fifth Street, public intoxication.
