COLUMBIANA COUNTY MUNICIPAL

LISBON – A March 24 preliminary hearing was set in county Municipal Court for Amy D. Shafer, 42, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, charged with improper handling of firearms in a motor vehicle for allegedly having a loaded revolver handgun in her vehicle with four .32-caliber rounds as well as suspected methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia items during a traffic stop on state Route 7 near state Route 14 in Columbiana.

Michael C. Riley, 42, East Euclid Avenue, Salem, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of burglary, a fourth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor charge of criminal damaging for breaking the front door jam and entering the home of Edward Little on March 9, where he was found standing in the kitchen eating a bowl of cereal. Riley was fined $100 for disorderly conduct for being intoxicated and stumbling on the roadway on Feb. 27.

Robert Jay Gainer, 34, Cuyahoga Falls, was bound over to the grand jury on charges of compelling prostitution, a third-degree felony; attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony; possessing criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor charge of engaging in prostitution. Gainer allegedly attempted to obtain sex in exchange for $200 from a 15-year-old by making arrangements with someone he believed to be the mother and driving to Salem on March 9 where he was met by an agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

A May 26 pretrial was set for Rodney Michael Sinchack, 56, Boardman, charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. Sinchack allegedly made arrangements to pay $80 for sex acts with an adult woman while she was wearing heavy ‘glam’ make up and pigtails on March 1.

A May 26 pretrial was set for Derno Lynn McCary, 34, New Castle, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. On Feb. 24, McCary allegedy made arrangements to make a quick visit to an adult woman for sex in exchange for $60, when he was met by members of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Jesse L. Little, 37, Youngstown, was credited with 10 days in jail, sentenced to an additional 20 days in jail, and fined $300 for drug instruments, failure to display a valid sticker and two counts of drug paraphernalia. On Dec. 4, Little had crack pipes and syringes in Columbiana. Again on March 11 was found to have drug paraphernalia.

A March 28 pretrial was set for Carl B. Moore, 43, Wilbert Street, East Liverpool, cited with driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia for allegedly having a digital scale and suspected snort straw.

Alexander Wertz, 29, Monaca, Pa., was fined $150 for speeding.

EAST LIVERPOOL MUNICIPAL

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, a bench warrant was issued for the arrest of Zachary Mumford, 36, East Washington Street, Lisbon, who failed to appear for court Friday on two counts of possession of drug abuse instruments. Bond was set at $2,500 cash or surety.

The charges stem from two separate incidents. Mumford allegedly possessed three used syringes in his sock in plain view after East Liverpool police were called for a person possibly intoxicated on Pennsylvania Avenue on March 30 and found Mumford. He also allegedly possessed a used syringe during an incident in East Liverpool on March 14 and admitted to throwing another used syringe in the garbage can of the men’s room at the Hot Dog Shop.

A pretrial was set May 12 for Sherri Lanam, 34, Ravine Street, East Liverpool, charged with drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a smoking device with burnt ends and choreboy filters and a syringe during a traffic stop in St. Clair Township on March 12.

A pretrial was set March 23 for Nickolas Dalrymple, 29, 14th Street, Wellsville, charged with failure to comply, reckless operation and possession of marijuana for allegedly failing to stop while police were pursuing his vehicle on March 17, losing control and running into a utility pole on Lisbon Road near Dairy Queen in Wellsville with marijuana in his possession.

A pretrial was set April 5 for Rosita Wright, 54, Mick Road, Wellsville, charged with theft for allegedly failing to scan and pay for $113.20 worth of merchandise at the Walmart self checkout on Dresden Avenue on March 11.

A pretrial was set April 19 for Trevor Lodge, 27, Metz Road, Columbiana, charged with no license and failure to signal.

A pretrial was set May 12 for Jason McEldowney, 35, Lincoln Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with loud or defective exhaust.

Nicole M. Smith, 38, Shady Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $110 for driving under suspension and speeding.

A failure to appear notice was issued for Antoine Smith, 41, Cleveland, charged with no license and a tail light violation.

A failure to appear notice was issued for Geno DeBiase, 22, Bloomingdale, charged with speeding.

A failure to appear notice was issue for Donald Edge, 44, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, charged with loud or defective exhaust.
